We're looking for a fourth PC for our Curse of Strahd campaign, preferably someone without prior knowledge of CoS. We play every other Wednesday afternoon 12-3:30pm Eastern (starting on Nov. 25). We played the Death House intro (quickly gets party from level 1 to level 3) and are about to enter the campaign proper. Right now we have a cleric, a bard, and a paladin. We lost our rogue, but any class is welcome. Race is mostly limited to standard fantasy - humans, elves, etc. No aarakocras or dragonborn or anything. Campaign is dark and serious. Play amongst the party is fun, with (what I think is) a good mix of humor and tactical thinking. We're all relatively new to DnD but have been playing for about a year or two, and are well versed on the rules (okay, maybe not the obscure ones). The DM was professionally hired and has run CoS before.
We play on Roll20 with a Discord Chat, and there is a DNDBeyond campaign with all of our character sheets. Serious applicants only - we'd like to have someone join who is committed to playing every other Wednesday for the length of the campaign. I know afternoons are a tough ask but maybe with folks "working from home" there might be a few of you interested. If you are, please send/link a character sheet with your level 3 character. Backstory is great but it can be relatively brief, or you can work on it later.
I've received a few applications but we're going to look at them collectively this coming week. So feel free to still apply.
DM didn't give a specific list but the country the campaign takes in has a lot of racial tension and if you aren't human or very human looking it's tough for some of the NPCs to ignore. Humans and elves are totally fine. Anything that really departs from that general human look - dragonborn, aarakocra, tiefling, etc. are not preferred.
Hi, i'm a new player looking into DND with only a few sessions under my belt IRL. I have no knowledge of curse of strahd campaign and am completely serious about seeing it through. I love playing eccentric, chaotic good characters. Since this is a new unplayed character, I can adjust class accordingly to fit with a role if need be.
Here is one of my characters. A dwarf cleric. Focusing on support, flanking, and getting into trouble.
His mom and donkey traveling companion, Eeyorette.
ENEMIES
Debt collectors
BACKSTORY
Slightly touched in the head, Naurim has spurts where he forgets what he is doing. He spent years as a militia cleric, forced to work for chump change in Neverwinter. The constant exposure to dark magics in his battle against undead has deteriorated his mind. Right before a massive skirmish with another wannabe necromancer, Naurim wandered off. Something was calling him. As if in a trance, he just kept walking, south; with nothing but the clothes on his back.
Months passed. Scraping a living and doing odd jobs, being chased by debt collectors and angry innkeepers.
On a road, he found the rotting corpse of a farmer, long dead. Nearby was a near starved donkey, practically skin and bones, tied to a post. Expending the last of his food to it and a few healing spells, he decided to keep her as a traveling companion and pack mule. Naurim is too fat and heavy to ride her. But, hey, atleast she's a good listener.
Together, they keep heading south. The ever present pull in his very soul. "Find me".
Hi there, I'd love to play with you guys, I could play a half-elf rogue, or a fighter if you'd rather have a beefier frontline along with the paladin ^-^
I am 31 years old, female, have been playing D&D 5e locally with my friends for one and a half years. I haven't tried roll20 before, but I'd love to learn to use it. English is not my mother tongue, but I speak English fluently. I play D&D in English too.
I always want to play Curse of Strahd because I have heard how fascinating it is, but my DM loves to homebrew. My time zone is Central European Standard Time. Eastern time 12:00 is 18:00 for me, so the time is perfect. I will join every session on time if I am in your group.
Please feel free to contact me if you want to know more about me. I hope we can make a great team in playing Curse of Strahd

So has the spot been filled and what exactly are the races that are allowed to be played?
