Hey there! Newbie here looking to get inducted into the wonderful hobby of TTRPGs!
Full disclosure section! While I have done story-based roleplays (10+ years) in a whole heap of genres, none of these had formalized mechanics (skill checks, combat, etc.): more the sort where you and your partner(s) write sections by turn and just mutually agree not to godmod or whatever. As for D&D, I'm making my way through the Player's Handbook now and may not be totally familiar with everything on the first go-around. I'm very willing to learn, look up things, take notes, etc. Alternatively, if a group of fellow newbies would like to try and to ford these waters together, I'm more than happy to join in!
That said, I have played other, non-TTRPGs multiplayer games, and I've er... had my fair share of very toxic experiences there (which has honestly made me a tad hesitant to try an online group here!). I'd prefer to join relaxed group of nice people who are LGBTQ+ friendly and just looking to make some enjoyable stories.
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online (Prefer voice only) Experience: Newbie! Mint condition! Fresh out of the box! (Oops, there goes the collector's value...) Location/Timezone: EST Availability: Weekdays 6pm-10:00pm, Saturdays 10am-10pm Preferred role: Player Game style: I'd prefer something with an emphasis on roleplay and character growth/world building, but I'd be equally enthused to have a healthy mix of exploration and combat in there. I usually like a mix of serious moments, growth, and comedy. I'm happy to play in all sorts of settings and dig into lore and world building to make a character fit the setting. Like I said, after some toxic experiences with other gaming arenas, I'd really prefer a friendly, relaxed group so that everyone has a really good, enjoyable experience.
If you're interested, let me know here! Thanks for reading!
