I am a DM with several years of experience behind my back. For the last 6 months, I have DM'ed a campaign of Tomb of Annihilation for a group of incredible players, but, unfortunately, some of them have dropped out. Now, I am planning to run a homebrew campaign for the other players, and, since we have a free spot, we have decided to invite one more player from D&D beyond!
About the campaign - it is going to be set in a little bit steampunk-ish world. What I mean by that is, in more developed parts of the world you may see gunpowder, factories, maybe even a train! Although, it is not that widespread, so in a bigger part of the world it is still swords and shields. You are going to play as a band of mercenaries, who take on a quest, which looks to be pretty... rewarding. What do I mean by that? There is only one way to know ;)
About the players - they are the most incredible players I've ever met. The band consists of different people, from different backgrounds, nationalities, ages - but what unites us is our passion for D&D. We are very friendly to each other, and we will be very happy to accept someone new into our group. I do have to warn you though - it is frequent for us to use some foul language or similar "explicit topics", but don't worry - we don't cross the line, as I am pretty harsh about that. For me - fun and enjoyment is above all. Besides of that - we frequently play other games or just chat about various topics.
As for you, as a player - if you are new to D&D - don't worry. Nearly a half of my players were new at the time they started playing with me, and I haven't heard any complaints from them :') If you need any explanation of rules, help with character creation or with materials - you can ask me or anyone from the group. The only thing I require from you is to be commited to the game, and to pay attention to what's going on.
The game is going to be on Fridays. We haven't decided on the time yet, but it's going to be sometime from 17:00 to 23:00 CET for around 4 hours. We are going to be playing every week, unless in the given week I am not available at this time. As for the others - I have a general rule, that in case 2 or more players are absent/cannot play we call off the game. I am more than fine if you can't play - just warn me in advance. And if you can't play/don't arrive for 2 consecutive games in a row we may have to discuss it, as missing a lot of plot may make it harder for you to play.
