Heya!
My first campaign just finished its first stage and I noticed that the PCs could do with a fifth member to round out the group and retain balance in case of absentees. Preferably one that can act as a sort of guide for the homebrew world the other PCs have found themselves in.
I am rather new to DnD, but not to TTRPGs as a whole. Playing with both, newbies and veterans in my short fantasy excursion, I noticed that more experienced players tend to have problems suppressing meta knowledge, but still crave that exploratory feel of a first-timer. I saw that as an opportunity to open my box of discarded ideas and translate then into DnD while reskinning the things already here. So whether new or experienced, if you're interested in some exploration and cinematic encounters, feel free to shoot me a request.

About Character creation:

Party has just reached level 3 and your character would be in that situation as well. There are some light race restrictions, but also 5 homebrew races that will be available for character creation. Other than that, play what you feel like.

Entry point would be the 13th or 27th
(still have to finish writing these adventures, so I will use the opportunity to try and integrate whatever we come up with)

What to expect:

-story medium to light: I'm mostly a world-building guy. I'm pretty uninterested in most greater conflict. That being said, this ain't a dungeon crawl. The aim is a monster hunt/sandbox mix, with an overarching story arc that could take place in either plain view, or the background, depending on character decisions.
But things can change, especially since, again, this is my first rodeo.

-length unknown: this is sort of a dumping ground for homebrew ideas and I want to explore them thoroughly. I'm a first-timer and not yet sure how to measure the exact length. There's no way we'll play all the way to Lv20 though.

-heavy focus on homebrew: With a few exceptions, most of what you'll encounter is either homebrew or a reskin. This means creatures, races, items and spells, not rules.

-puzzles???: I dislike puzzles, but I adore puzzle combat and obstacle puzzles. There will be thinking involved, but I will do my damnedest to disguise it.

-I'm a freelancer with a chaotic schedule: So far, I have always made the session, but there's a higher than usual chance of a pause. Just a warning.

-I am a first time DM: expect some serious jank on my part as I figure things out.
Players give good feedback so far though.
