New player seeks open-minded and helpful group for online adventuring

Game style :I'm open to really any type of gameplay, from a fairly casual mix of combat and role-play to a more serious, heavy role-play experience. Ultimately, I'm looking to find some new friends, learn the intricacies of D&D and escape normal life and my circumstances for a few hours every week.

As I'm coming into this with no gameplay experience, I'm open to playing whatever character might be necessary for the group or the chosen narrative. I have been kicking around some ideas for a cleric that could stretch his legs with a little additional work and some assistance. While I haven't used Roll20 or Foundry, I do have accounts on Discord [HellishForm#2258] and D&D Beyond.

Little more about: I'm Jake, and I'm 39 years old. I'm a long time fantasy literature fan, and I've had an interest in D&D for forever. I'm also a quadriplegic. I broke my neck 20 years ago while in college, and I'm now paralyzed from the shoulders down as a result. I consider myself capable of getting along with most people, as I've had many different types of nurses over the years.

This is an online DnD 5e game VTTRPG.
Our DM is Ndaemendo, and we play with Foundry VTT & Discord (mic is obligatory).

Starting up at 3rd level we are all… Dead.
Expect a looong term campaign, with 1 meeting per week (weekdays 7PM GMT + 1, Europe Timezone is preferred).
One week we will do regular teamwork, and every second week we will do side quests.

Character creation must include reasons for wanting to learn the Blood 🩸 Dance 🪩, be at least tolerant towards Blood 🩸 Hunters, and have a rich background.
For character creation we are not limited by Rules
Everything goes !

Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft
