Schedule: 12 PM on Saturdays, looking to start first session in two weeks
Roles sought: 2 more players to fill out a group of 3.
Game style: heavy roleplay mix with battle encounters
Info about my group and the campaign:
I am a fairly new dm, who has ran a homebrew campaign in the past that lasted a little over a year.
This campaign is political based, but with lots of opportunity for fantastical quests and character-driven subplots as well.
Our group is a newfound group of friends who play together in a separate campaign with all of us as players, but I wanted to try my hand at DMing again.
Roles we have already: Drakwarden Ranger, Death Cleric, and Oath of Crown Paladin
We respect any pronouns and identities at this table, and are requesting any new players do the same. We do not tolerate harassment or intolerance of any kind.
In the comments, please tell me a little more about yourself:

what you're looking for in a campaign/what you want from a dm:
what matters more to you? sticking to the handbook rules, or being flexible with them?:
If messaged, I can provide a little more info about the world/send an invite to the discord server
what you're looking for in a campaign/what you want from a dm: Just a committed group who are able to joke around and have fun playing and hanging out.
what matters more to you? sticking to the handbook rules, or being flexible with them?: A bit of both. I just came out of DMing some homebrew games for around 3 years so I personally like the ability of the DM to bend rules when they feel like it.
I'm 17 so quite young and I'm looking to be a player more often as I did come off of 3 years of DMing. I'd be really interestind to join this group and would likely be playing a Rouge; though if need be I could always change my class to suit the party.
Pronouns: He/Him, but honestly comfortable with whatever.
Experience playing: I've been playing d&d off and on since the end of 3.5e and am currently running a campaign in 5e, looking for a game to be a player in.
What you're looking for in a campaign/from DM: Fun story, opportunity to really just get into it and role-play, fight, and explore. I'm really looking to develop and dive into a heavy role-play for one of the characters I have been bouncing around in my head but haven't had a chance to play yet (and with a couple ideas I am happy to fill whatever 'role' the party needs me to; mainly I have a wizard, artificer, and fighter in mind right now). Ideally I'd like a story/game that is character driven but also not devoid of combat. Also huge plus to have an explicitly lgbt friendly group as that's very important to me.
What matters more to you? sticking to the handbook rules, or being flexible with them?: I'm comfortable with either, my ideal is probably primarily RAW but with home-brew where appropriate (i.e. world setting/bringing in some non-official content [I'd love to play a eldritch knight using CR firearms at some point, doesn't have to be this campaign though]). But as long as it's clear what rules are as written and what rules are not ahead of time and I'm not surprised in battle when a spell/rule is changed, I'm fine. I'm pretty easy going and more focused on the role-play/character driven narrative than the specific rules.
I'll shoot you a message as well, but I'd love to get involved in this game!
Hey, if you're still looking for players I'd love to learn a bit more about the world you're building :)
Age: 21
Preferred pronouns: she/her
Experience playing: approximately 1/2 year playing, with some one shots here and there
what you're looking for in a campaign/what you want from a dm: An interesting story that really integrates the characters backstory, and fun ways for everyones characters to interact with one another. I enjoy 65/35 percent-ish role-play to combat.
what matters more to you? sticking to the handbook rules, or being flexible with them?: I'm fine being flexible with the rules if its a homebrew or there's enough logic behind the decision that it makes sense to deviate from the rules. If the change enhances the experience for the group I feel like that change should be made.
My discord is Noot#9331, hopefully I hear from you!
Experience playing: I have wanted to play for a long time, but have never found the opportunity or time to play.
what you're looking for in a campaign/what you want from a dm: I am looking for an involved campaign to get my feet wet, and an understanding DM.
what matters more to you? sticking to the handbook rules, or being flexible with them?: Being flexible matters more, because I'm more likely to muck up.
Experience playing: I used to play AD&D long long ago, just started playing 5e in the last few months
what you're looking for in a campaign/what you want from a dm: I like being able to hook my character into the world. In a homebrew campaign that usually comes from learning some basics about the setting and the figuring out how to build my character into it, or by suggesting something if I don't have the details and then working to flesh it out. The most fun backstories are where the characters know something about an event in their past, but maybe not everything.
what matters more to you? sticking to the handbook rules, or being flexible with them?: I think it's important to know which sorts of rules you are really sticking to. After that I think it's good to be flexible with what makes sense. A good example might be purposely knocking someone out. They game is very good with ways to kill people, but it can get very rough if for rp reasons that characters are choosing not kill every guard etc.
If you still have room and I sound like a good fit, my discord is Gadget#3366
Experience playing: Moderate experience (~600 hours), split between DM and player. Initially got into D&D in high school 15+ years ago. Stopped playing altogether in 2002. Got back into D&D through Critical Role in July 2020, and have played a lot since then.
What you're looking for in a campaign/what you want from a dm: Looking for a campaign focused on playing: RP, exploration, and combat (as opposed to socializing while playing a bit). Open to personal friendships through our shared passion. Looking for a campaign with diverse and progressively-minded individuals. Interested in campaign with cooperative party, where the party is the real hero (not the player(s) who take the most space on the spotlight).
What matters more to you? sticking to the handbook rules, or being flexible with them?: I'm a big fan of the rules because they ensure even-handed play among the players. Being flexible with them, particularly for pace. I really appreciate a DM who wants to rule correctly consistently without letting the rules bog down gameflow. The Rule of Cool should definitely exist but be applied sparingly.
If messaged, I can provide a little more info about the world/send an invite to the discord server
