Forgotten Realms 1shot Session Zero

This is my first one shot game. The theme  is Vampires, the game is set in the Forgotten Realms and has room to grow into something larger than a one shot.

The time isn't set in stone. I wanted to schedule a session zero to facilitate character creation, backgrounds, and schedule the actual game.  As is the game is set for 4-5 players, and maybe roughly 4 hours of play time?  Play will be on Roll20 or using my Discord server

A fog is rolling in on the sleepy town of Phandalin. Rats are swarming and bats are taking flight during the perpetually dark days. The townspeople are getting restless. More people have gone to the temple of Lathander and don't return.

As the unease increases, one day a young novice, a member of the temple rushes into Phandalin. The youths long brown cassock is tattered and filthy, his face is gaunt and pale. "Vampires! Vampires have overrun the temple!" the youth cries. "They've taken the Abbess prisoner!" he says with his dying breath.

Vampires have destroyed the temple of the faithful of Lathander. Now it's up to you to push back the unholy darkness of the undead.

Destroy the Vampire.  Rescue the Captives. Reclaim the temple. Win the favor of the Morning Lord
