Have a character idea, but nobody to play with

Game: D&D 5e
Group preferred: Online, Discord, Roll20 etc.
Experience: Newish. I have played for 3 years or so but only a few times total
Location/Timezone: Western United States, PST
Availability: Whenever, but I prefer late afternoon or Nights

Preferred role: Player. (I've never DM'd before but I want to soon.)
Game style: I like it all (although I struggle to stay in character sometimes)

I have an idea for a high intelligence Barbarian, a formal court trained slave. Rage is Icy and calculated, his demeanor shifts to utterly ruthless and brutal during rage. Years of maltreatment as a slave has taught him to hate, and hold on extremely tightly to the few spots of kindness in his life. He knows how to play nobles and politics but despises the game and all its players. He can play the game, or fight as well as anyone when required to protect that what he cares about. A man who hates, but loves just as deeply.

This will start as a play by post/text with voice chats, eventually moving to Roll20 as the game progresses.

The entire campaign will eventually have 6-8 people, but start in groups of 1-3.

You awaken to darkness and a raging tempest of winds in a cold cavern. You’re alone, confused, and entirely without a memory of your own. How did you get to this place? And how are you going to get out?

Everyone’s first session can be at any time or day within the next week (except for Sunday) I am based in PST. You will need to work with other player availability following session 1.

A few things to consider before messaging:

1. You WILL need to work with other player availability after session 1. This is not a one-off.
2. Your character will have cinema style amnesia, so a lengthy backstory isn’t necessary quite yet and your character won’t know what abilities they have (prepare for some role play).
3. Some race types won’t be wise given the starting environment (all core PHB work) but feel free to challenge yourself!
