It is a good place to learn.. but you would have to roll/reroll your character's ability stats using the Avrae command "!randchar" in one of the roll channels #roll-1 - #roll-3 and then Ping an "@Admin" ..
But as the server requires an 80 + total ability score, if you used a standard array you would mostly get a better score in the reroll.
And don't be afraid to introduce yourself and ask for help in "#public-chat".
This is not a place where the Player finds a Party for the PC, the PC looks for someone to go to the outlands with and Hunt for Trouble.. and roleplay in the city while you as the player learn the game system, of D&D 5th edition, D&D^B, Discord, and the Avrae Bot D&D5E command system.
