Hello I am currently looking for 2 players to join my campaign that plays bi-monthly(sometimes more) on Mondays starting at 730-8pm CST runtime 3-4 hours. The campaign started a couple months back (maybe 7 sessions so far). We are looking to replace one player who was not able to continue as well as adding another to the party. With it being heavy lore, deep backstory NPC’s and an all original and detailed world; my wife and I co-DM the campaign. Because we have two DM’s, we would like to up the party to 6 as we currently have 4 players.
My wife and I are both in our mid 20’s, I’ve played 2 short campaigns as well as multiple one shots, playing multiple classes. She has similar experience and DM’ed one of the campaigns I played in. Our DM style is character arc, world navigating, detailed towns and cities and heavy RP based with combat thrown in sporadically. Lots of fun voices, quick improv, likeable NPCs and rolled encounters during travel.
We are looking for players who would sign up for an old lady ran underground fight ring, getting high on magic oranges while investigating a kidnapping, Etc. (these have all happened lol) This group is about a lot of shenanigans with deep, crazy and funny character to character dialogue frequently. The group emphasizes deep backstory and interpersonal stories and we are looking for players who will be interested in learning about the other players as much as they are talking about theirs. We are open to most classes except for fighter and monk, all others would fit appropriately. The campaign can be homebrew heavy but follow the 5e rules. We’re open to having characters having homebrew in them, minorly altered spells and/or equipment and we even have a homebrewed sub-class. Currently we have 4 players as stated earlier, they range in experience and the party dynamic is really important to us and the players.
If you can respond with the following below and anything else you would like to tell us about yourself and we will get back to you. We will also tell you a little more about the party makeup including a little about character personalities, class, race, etc.
Experience: Not much played two sessions then it fell apart (thanks covid)
Preferred class: I'm not particular I like trying stuff.
Favorite part about DnD: Being part of a story and interacting with people who love fantasy
Fun fact about me: I have a neurological condition know as synesthesia. Basically one sense triggers another sense or sensation. I have a taste/color association so I can literally taste color. When I eat certain things I experience a color or vice versa, I see a color and experience a taste. I like to include this as part of my character somehow, cause its fun.
Experience: great until covid haha. I got into d&d around December of 2019. As we all remember shit went off the rails and from then on my d&d life was a struggle of crappy online games and getting scammed out of my money. However I still am looking to for that experience I know only d&d can give in a game and I hope your game is open for a somewhat new player like myself
Preferred Class: barbarian because smash
Favorite part about d&d: besides the scum I mentioned before the community around this game has been very helpful and accepting. I have talked to many people who I was trying to join games with and even though it never worked out for varying reasons they were always respectful and even helped me in other ways to get into a game so we can all share our passion for fantasy worlds together. is pretty cool my dude
Experience: Old school vet played AD&D, 3.5, and now several years of 5e mostly as a DM.
Prefer: spell casters and multi class
My favorite part of the game is the unpredictable nature of it. Not ever knowing what's going to happen. The art of exploration, story telling, and forging the adventure all along the way while making friends and enemies. Being able to interact as a group in ways you'd never do on your own. Learning about the lore of unfamiliar realms and discovering what lies hidden within.
Hello, my brother and I are trying to start playing again and if you have availability for both that would be awesome. If only room for one that's fine too. Below is the information requested,
Name/age: Jeff, 34 brother will, 32
D&D Experience: will and I started playing Ad&d 2nd edition in high school. He hasn't played really since so no 5e experience. I have played 3 edition and a few campaigns in 5e.
Preferred class: psionist for my brother(I know 5e doesn't have a true psoinic class but maybe a wizard with a subclass with psionic focus) I also know some DMs don't want to run a class like this so he could do something else that fits the campaign. For me, I was thinking a berserker barbarian (kinda fits the fighter/monk you're not wanting). Second choice, Dwarven Cleric. Third choice, Artificer.
Favorite part of D&D: both of us like story building and character development. It would be awesome to start playing again more and see where the campaign/story takes us.
Preferred class: Don't have one, I'm always looking to try out new classes and character ideas
Favorite part of D&D: Character development from start to finish. Most campaigns I've played in have been RP heavy but I've started to get into more combat scenes.
D&D Experience: A few years of playing 4e with a group, back in high school and college. A little bit of Minor DM'ing in High School but not enough experience to run a full-scale campaign.
Preferred Class: Ranger or Druid is my preference but I'm open to any Class!
Favorite part about D&D: I enjoy the fact that character building is a facet of the game as well as having a personal understanding of the role you play ("in someone else shoes.") And that playing this role is an exercise for learning about new personality traits or making tough yet detrimental choices within a world at large. Rather this may be about challenging yourself to expect new emotions and thought processes or building trust and friendship with the characters around you. Regardless, this game has a beautiful expression of the human mind rather it plays a role against your morals or understanding, it challenges us to be the best, worst, and 'unknown' selves we never knew was there in the first place.
D&D Experience: Been running 5e since 2018, playing it since May, playing D&D overall since I was 10
Preferred class: I will play truly anything that I need to. I've played wizards, hexblade warlocks, and rangers the most, but would love to give something else a try.
Favorite part of D&D: Having fun with a group, making friends, telling a story, and developing confidence and connections that can last a lifetime.
D&D Experience: I have 6+years of experience I started when the first season of critical was playing so around 2015.
Preferred Class: Barbarian, Fighters , Wizards and Sorcerers and I do love the Matt Mercer's class of bloodhunter.
Favorite Thing about D&D: I love that slow burning chemistry of a group that a group has and then is evolved into something beautiful into a long lasting friendship.
Relatively new. Have about 4 campaigns worth of experience. I can make a character based on your requirements/theme once you accept me into the group :)
My favorite part has to be the "choosing your own adventure" component of D&D.
