The once respected land of mystical creatures was trampled and over-taken by the war machine of the conquering Halia Empire. A human dominant regime bent on uniting the world under their banner and enforcing their views upon whomever they set their sights on next. Now the nonhuman residents are second class citizens in a human dominated world. The once magical landscape has become infested with villages and cities and the High Magistrate, the Halia Empire's Iron Fist, is bent on holding the Empire's control and his method was to erase what the Wylds were known for. Magic. Magic is outlawed in Ashgrave.
