New and inexperienced, looking to get into d&d

Hi! I'm new to d&d. I've been wanting to play for long time, I'm just... I don't have a lot of friends and I'm bad a making new ones so I thought I'd try this!!!

I have a campaign I should be starting in about a month :). It's going to be dark fantasy, but light on the horror side.

I have played a few sessions in the official Adventurers' League because I am in the same boat as you friend-wise, so I thought I would try running the Lost Mines of Phandelver Starter Set and found this forum to find games.  We would use Discord and Fantasy Grounds for online play.  I was looking at Wednesday or Friday evenings (EST, Louisville, KY) probably.  There are pre-gen characters so you wouldn't have to worry about character creation.  Let me know if you are interested.
