Hello, possible Friends...

Let me first introduce myself. My name is Mat. I have been DMing for 6 years and professionally for 2 now. I pride myself in the fact that I took some people from this very forum a few years ago, told enriching tales, and created an amazing friendship with these people. They have become some of my best friends and I wouldn't trade them for the world. . . I think it is also valuable to point out, that I have met some folks through this forum that are COMPLETELY incompatible with my gaming style. More about that later.

Homebrew-- KIND OF.... I want to do some world building together. Session ZERO is imperative to who I am interested in playing with as well as getting idea what everyone wants to do. 

The bottom line is, that I am currently playing in 1 game a week and run 2 games a week: We've been rolling for a long time now. I love these people, but some time freed up in my life. I'm looking to add another day to my gaming schedule. This means meeting new people. I am picky about whom I choose to play with. I don't want you to take this as a personal insult. 

I don't appreciate players who:

-Aim to play Lone-wolf dirt bags, getting drunk and making problems for the whole party..  (I appreciate good character growth narratively speaking, but if you plan on playing out this trope, please give me more to work with and be kind to your friends)

-Are not LGBT friendly. (Please respect character/player pronouns.)

-(I am not here to accommodate your fan-fic/fetish fantasy)... From this very forum, I tried to create a curse of strahd camp with new players and holy shit. My experience was beyond me. 1 session in, and a character was asking for others to **** her character and wanted description. I ALWAYS RUN A SESSION ZERO. Despite this catch all, she made it in and ruined everything for everyone. As your DM, I promise that I will vet everyone for this very reason. This is why I am picky. I want to make sure not only that my players have a safe and friendly experience, but that we have chemistry for good roleplay and combat.

I'm going to point out here, that I would actually love to have a nice split of ROLEPLAY and COMBAT. A healthy 60/40% . . . I would love to hear from you folks. Please provide some answers to the following questions and again, keep in mind that the time slot and discord/roll20 requirements. This is voice chat/roll20 for maps.

1. Name/Age/Pronoun/Location - Actually there're two of us - I'm looking for a game to play with my wife where we can both be players. I go by Q, I'm 41, he/his, CST US. She goes by Kaja, 30s, she/hers, same.

2. Favorite Fantasy Trope - Just about anything, really. Depends on my mood. Sometimes I'm into the super-mage, other times dragons make my day, and still others I like the dark necromancer raising an army to destroy... you get it. :)

4. What do you want out of this game? Honestly, I just want a regular game that meets weekly and is consistant and will finish the quest we start. Going on an epic world saving quest would be cool. a 50/50 style mix of combat and RP is good. Not huge into detective or riddles. More like a LOR destroy the ring type deal. Or head to the fortress and destroy the evil sorcerer trying to destroy the land.

It's just me but i like a campaign that is all fun with a balance comedy and seriousness also have more empithese on rp then combat
