I am very interested! I have been looking for Play-by-post campaigns since I'm always short on time, and science fiction is one of my favorite genres. C: Would love to know what classes, races, and other things you allow, as well as any tidbits of lore you can throw my way! I've been playing D&D for 2 years now, and mainly have experience with being the DM, so I would love to break the chain an be a player.
Any race/class is open. Think what would work with science fiction. Monster races too are OK. Once the campaign is kicked off, I'll have content sharing enabled so the group can make adjustments as needed.

I'll get some lore together and put it here for ya'll to read up on soon. The plan is to have it heavy RP based with parts/chapters. Fights will probably be modified some to make them more lethal (Yes you can die if you mess up bad).

Outland Industries has hired the group of you to track down a strange "echo" in space. On the planet Ateiria, you find yourselves on a hover-track train bound for the slums to meet with Barrakus, a low-life slum lord who has the details of your assignment. You don't know each other. You may not care. It's a job -which means credits in your accounts...
A world where the races of DnD have expanded themselves beyond the norm. Space -that final frontier has showed its ugly head upon the world. It's hard to remember what realm you're from anymore. It's all mixed up and rearranged like a bad dream. The races of the realms have been exploring space for the past 50 years. Pirates, Corporations, lawlessness...you've seen it all or heard about it. Space is not a comfortable place, but it's a profitable one.
This story arc takes the norms of DnD and applies it to space. Some ideas are borrowed from Coriolis to fill in the gaps. I have three of you in mind. I'll send out some invites soon.
Any race. Any class. level 3. Pick one magical item from the DM Guide with my approval to have.
If you're still interested (I haven't seen much activity), give me a hell yes! for a reply so I can pick the group.
For the imagining process. Think that if DnD had broken beyond that barrier that separates the Far Realms from reality and what that would mean for all the races of the realms. Now, 50 or so years into the future of that broken wall, we have our beloved DnD setting in space-ships cruising across the astral plane or universe (however you want to interpret it).
The story starts out assuming you're all hardened adventurers of space just doing another mission for the credits, meeting each other for the first time on a hover-track train to the next job with loose mission details (that's normal) with a good payout (40,000 cr) and rumors of an "echo" across the astral plane. Maybe you'll be the ones to figure it all out?

I am super interested in this game! The setting and environment are absolutely amazing, I'm already coming up with tons of ideas of how to play. I'm happy to play whatever the group needs if there are any missing roles you want.
For character creation; Do you prefer people to roll for stats?
I'm very excited about this game's potential and hope to hear more about it!
A friend and I {friend’s name is ArcticFrost304} are interested in the campaign. Any specific character creation rules to note, like determining ability scores?
Also, are custom lineage rules from Tasha’s allowed?
Definitely still interested, thank you so much for dropping more lore! :D Same question as KasaiRuby up above, do you prefer rolling for stats, or perhaps point buy?
Email: send to: KasaiRuby. - automated email. please do not respond.
Congratulations! You have been recently hired.
Outland Industries thanks you for your commitment. Please review the guidelines sent to you upon initial job-inquiry-analysis. If you did not receive an initial email upon registration, please contact us at knowONEcares@outlandinc.com. Please understand that Outland Industries is not responsible for any lose of limb or any other offense by mere nature of the "jobs" upon inquiry in which you voluntarily entered a contractual agreement with. For further guidance, please review our user agreement contract/liability paperwork that you completed upon initial acceptance into the 'family".
Happy Hunting/Mission success..

Hello! I'm absolutely interested in this, probably on a "hell yes" level. I've been playing D&D for a year now and spent the better part of that year playing daily. The concept sounds neat, and I'm used to long-haul, rp-heavy campaigns. I'd love to know more (edit: just saw the lore)! Leaving this here so you know.
The lore sounds excellent, the story concept much the same, and I'd be glad to join in on the adventure if it'll have me.
My friend Strakeln up there made note of my interest: my username may be changing soon, I put in a request for that earlier today. Look out for Somnifirx.
Thanks!
Edit: I've changed my mind — but good luck with this!
“Typical…” The drow woman spoke out loud to the otherwise empty room. The glowing screen of her tablet reflected its dull light against her bright red eyes as she scanned the text of the e-mail she had received. Despite the concerning contents of the notice a smile still stretched gleefully across the dark purple skin of her face.
“Ah well, I’m certainly not in it for the health insurance.” She joked to herself as she tossed the tablet casually onto the bed next to her in this small hotel room.
Indeed, she didn’t care about any of the security or guarantees that Outland Industries could offer her, or more specifically the lack thereof. She was only interested in this job for two things.
First, most obviously, was the credits.
Second was the chance to get a free ride to explore some of the darkest reaches of the deep void. Despite her years of experience, she was still young by standards of her race after all, and her adventurous spirit burned particularly bright.
Rising from the chair she moved over to the tiny closet where she had stored her gear, retrieving all of it before laying it out across the bed. As she began to equip everything she would need for this job she briefly wondered who else had received a similar message. The original job mentioned the need for several contractors, no doubt several other adventurers were now reading the same words she had read moments prior.
She looked in the mirror briefly once her outfit was in place. The darkened skintight armor added a striking appearance to her somewhat shorter stature, but what mattered most was that the light, thin material was effective in combat without restricting her movement. After all, she preferred to rely on not being seen in the first place. This was why she had a black hood ready to cover her bright white hair which was currently tied into a simply ponytail coming off the back of her head. It was an easy way to keep it out of her eyes for the time being. Though it really only mattered if things escalated into combat, it never hurt to be prepared. It was with that in mind that she checked her guns thoroughly before holstering them into her double shoulder harness, one underneath each arm, before she covered them with a short cut leather jacket.
Once satisfied, she gathered the rest of her belongings into her pack before leaving the cheap hotel room where she had spent the night. As she made her way to the transport she found herself looking forward to meeting the rest of the people that had been accepted to take part in this job. At the very least she was looking forward introducing them to Penumbra.
Working out some details for final story and getting a selection of probably 4 or 5 of you. If I haven't answered any PM's yet, I'll get to you.

Ok guys. Been a little bit. I’m still working on getting a proper lore post going and getting the final 3 or 4 players.
A bit of inspiration for getting started -there’s a lot from Arcana of the Ancients that I’m pulling from. If you have it or have access to it, please refrain from reading the actual quest portions. I may borrow some or a lot from them. It’ll be your own spoiler if that’s the case. Reading through some of that might help get a feel for some things in the world.
For feel until the lore comes, think cyberpunk 2077 feel and rough-and-tough, Bladerunner, and Final Fantasy 7/Chrono Trigger.

I make playlists for my stories with Spotify. Here's the playlist for this story (so far). I think of it as a memento for my characters to come away from the table with...https://open.spotify.com/playlist/63pTJAAWB61XXTkldwv0cS?si=DiW5wyT7SyqHnqlLaeWdEw
It may help with character development/feel as well.
