The world of Lethiapra is built on the back of a power source know as Acian crystals. Using these crystals the nations of the world have been able to build magnificent things and bring the world forward. Air ships fly through the skys. The houses are lit and heated. At least the houses of the rich are. For now the nations are at piece but things could change at any moment. On top of that ever year starting on the 360th day of every year a great storm rolls across the continents and lasts for 5 days. It is monstrous in its destructive capabilities but also Instills the Acian crystals with there power.
The story of the campaign will be highly influenced by character backstories. Role play is gonna be more the focus then combat. The game is 18+. Please feel free to message me if you want to play. I allow homebrew and we will be starting at level 5. Use the template below.
D&D Experience: About 1 year (back in 2018). Played two campaigns (Storm King's Thunder and Tomb of Annihilation), also played in 1 Epic
Favorite moment in a d&d game: At the end of Storm King's Thunder we were preparing to start the final battle against the BBEG. My party had the favor of the Storm Giants and they agreed to aid us in our battle. We also had taken special potions to make us about the same size as the Giants who accompanied us - the scene was epic, like a Heavy Metal Music Video: We straight up blasted our way into the BBEG's lair casting Fireballs and all manner of arcane hate in that creature's direction. Sure, it had Legendary actions, breath weapons, and various nasty tactics...but we tore into that creature like a starving man at a buffet.
Afterward, my party members noticed a group of Yuan-ti chanting in a prayer circle and assumed they were up to no good and immediately started to attack and kill them - despite their non-resistance. My character stepped in stopped the unwarranted attack, and the Yuan-ti peacefully left. Fast forward to the next campaign, Tomb of Annihilation - turns out one of the Yuan-ti my character saved became a love interest (cannon lore is that said Yuan-ti had soul, and was not indeed evil and could process emotion like any human). At the end of the campaign, my character survived and became a Yuan-ti via blood ritual and retired with his newfound love. Guess it was more of a favorite campaign than a moment. Sorry for the long post.
Something You Would You Like To Do In a Game: I just want to play a Hexblade Warlock who wields an awesome magical Greatsword while exploring his new found purpose as a Servant and executor of the Raven Queen's will on the material plane.
A Little About Yourself: I'm a dad who enjoys videogames, Magic: The Gathering, and his family (of course!). I enjoy roleplaying characters that feel authentic to the world they're in. I aspire to reach a level where I can have a distinct in-game character voice and personality. I'm very accepting of others - and am friendly to folks who are LGTBQ+. I try to be as open and accepting to others as possible, as it's just who I am.
D&D Experience: Almost 9 years as a player, and on/off DM for 7 years now.
Favorite moment in a d&d game: Party was transported to another world during a malfunctioned teleport/Gate spell, and finally found a dungeon to help get them back. However, in that dungeon, the party accidentally fell into the final boss room, where an arch lich demanded sacrifice from the party. Rather than die, the party offered him loot we had on us that we thought was relatively worthless. One of the said items was a flower wand the druid carried. Upon accepting it, the Lich grew excited and explained it was an Arch-Druid wand (an artifact level item). He then used the Wand's mage to make himself an ARCH lich, and gave us an hour to leave his dungeon. Skipping forward 50 in-game minutes, the party has almost made it to the portal to get back home but is having a hard time fighting off a Mind Flayer with his intellect devourers. Most of the party gets hit by a psychic stun, save my wizard. However, that seemed to be fine with this MF, cause he could sense my boy's brains/high int. A short contest of HP later, my boy is knocked out and he eats his brain in graphic detail (thanks DM). The Mind Flayer flees as my party gets back up and I get ready to prepare to make a new character when the DM goes, "hold on a second". Sure enough, as the party is carrying my character's body to the portal, the ARCH LICH shows up and takes a look at my body. Offering to save me, the Lich takes my body and turns me into a Lich myself. Moreso, lacking a brain, he makes my wizard a new brain, that consumes a +3 wand, an infinity stone(yep) to become my phylactery/brain. This all caused an alignment change, from the previous lawful neutral, to Neutral Good, making my undead wizard, now have feelings of compassion and guilt over the things he did and how he treated people. Oh, and now he has people constantly hunting him for the stone in his head, and he dresses like doctor doom with an iron mask that hides his undead nature xD
Something You Would You Like To Do In a Game: Fight a God (don't have to win, but I'd like to do it once in 5e xD); On a more reasonable note, however, I enjoy character moments, be it big things like defeating a nemesis, or minor things, like finding moments of quiet to reflect on the last battle. Finding love, suffering through tragedy, throwing a massive party, be it what it may, I enjoy a good story. I enjoy watching the characters I play, and the ones of others I play with, living their stories as they would, and having those stories feel real to them, the character.
A Little About Yourself: College student and currently balancing schedules to deal with coming out of quarantine. But beyond that nonsense, I'm an advocate for story-telling and adventure, often going out to do both on my own and with friends. Having traveled all up and down the Wester coast of the Americas, and to parts of the Eastern coast to, and I mean legit traveled, not just flew to and took a pretty picture.
Favorite Movie: To many to chose from xD but if I had to chose I'd say, The 300. An epic, both in history and storytelling, and glad it got depicted as one.
D&D Experience:I joined in 2019 and my first campaign was lost mines of phandelver
Favorite moment in a d&d game: When I joined my second campaign and played a sorcerer who blends in with the shadows and now i have a skelly on my side but i accidently said no to it.
Something You Would You Like To Do In a Game: Play a wild magic sorcerer and have a great time with friends and make a somewhat good backstory
A Little About Yourself: I am a person who enjoys reading history books all the time. I accept LGBTQ+ and i am open to anyone. i dont have a microphone so if i cant join its alright with me
D&D Experience: I was in a one-shot PvP Battle Royale with a couple of other players and our DM. It turned into a war of attrition that lasted for hours, but I had a lot of fun doing it.
Something You Would Like To Do In a Game: To be specific, I would like to tame a beast like a dire wolf or a tiger, but without being a Beastmaster Ranger. To be a bit more general, I would like a balance between roleplay, combat, and character development. I'm trying out different classes and races to see which ones stick with me, and i hope i can learn a lot from this campaign.
A Little About Yourself: 60% of my life consists of Video Games, Anime, Memes and Coffee. I am a Junior in College working towards a BA in Theatre. I'm currently dabbling in Voice Acting, so expect to hear different voices coming from me if we ever use Voice Chat. I am a general 'Live and Let Live' type of guy; I am accepting of a lot of things and can tolerate a lot of quirks that might rub people the wrong way.
D&D Experience: I've only played one other campaign, but have read a decent bit from the players handbook. Still very new to the game though and love learning new things people can do in the game .
Favorite moment in a d&d game: I dont have enough experience honeslty to have a favorite moment. The campaign i played before was very short and didnt have much to any RP in the game.
Something You Would You Like To Do In a Game: I would like to play a game of 5e with a decent amount of RP in the game.
A Little About Yourself: I'm currently in the military, but i see myself as a nerd at heart. None of my friends play board games or table top games so it hard to find groups.
D&D Experience: watched for 2-3 years, played as a player for roughly 6-7 months, dm'd a campaign for roughly 3-4 sessions now
Favorite moment in a d&d game: I rolled consecutive Nat 20s on a undead Minotaur while on 4 hp and ended up cleaning him up with the help of my druid
Something You Would You Like To Do In a Game: Materialize a spiritual weapon and ride it like a broom
A Little About Yourself: Im like to talk, Im here and Im loud. I love to make funny chars and play around with voices and accents but they all suck in the end
Favorite Movie: Iron man in close tie with the Avengers
D&D Experience: Have been playing on and of for a few years
Favorite moment in a d&d game: When my dwarf barbarian rolled a nat 20 to stand up and my friend´s half-elf bard rolled a nat 20 to hold on. So our dm ruled that i shot us both out of the tavern window.
Something You Would You Like To Do In a Game: I have always really liked the idea of solving a murder in dnd campaign
A Little About Yourself: I am a competent dnd nerd and avid music fan i play the drums and i play way too much video games for my own good. I also love movies and anime.
