Using the latest version of iOS (iphone and ipad), i can enter downloaded content and use the ToC to jump to a page, but where the back button used to send me back to the previous page, it now only takes me back to the main compendium page with all of the books. This is maddening because all content now needs to be searched for as opposed to browsed.
closing and restarting the app doesnt resolve it because it seems to cache my last viewed page. Essentially there is no way to get back to a book’s homepage / table of contents
please put this on the list for hotfixes for the next release!
So actually i discovered that this is simply a UX issue. The ToC is available, except its hidden in the context (...) Menu in the top right.
Its confusing the back arrow connotation is being changed from the standard (last thing you saw) functionality and its essentially doubling the functionality of the compendium button at the botton of the app.
I don't have a context (...) menu in the top right. I have, from right to left in the top right, a font menu (Aa), a bookmark button, and a search button (magnifying glass). That's the top right. Middle has the book name. Left has a link back to the root of the compendium (< Compendium). This is true in vertical and horizontal configuration (when I turn my phone sideways).
This forum is in need of optimization. I went to check the app after writing a response, came back, and my message had been deleted.
Update: the context menu exists for me in the iphone version, but not on ipad. Finding content is very difficult, and that difficulty is exascerbated by the poorly optimized search function.

Maddening indeed! Since I want to read through chapters, the compendium is now unusable, because I cannot get to the ToC (or even the next chapter).
Looking forward to a fix so the app has a useful purpose again.

Are you seeing the context menu on an iPhone?

Same here on ipad version (latest ios). Unusable now.
Well, found a solution in another thread...
On a page of a book, tap in the center of the screen. A navgation bar and the "back to index" button appear on the bottom.

That totally worked!
