So I thought: time to do a bit of reading on the books I downloaded on the DnDBeyond app.
To my surprise, I was unable to use it without internet. It seems like it's a bug/missing feature to me.
The app was stuck at "loading source from store" or something like that. I used my cellphone data to get through that part, but on a bad connection (like on my phone) it would still get stuck on the loading part 4/5 times. If I close my iPad and reopen it, I need access to internet to get through the loading part again.
I compared with the web version and it was overall more resilient than the app when trying to read my books with my cellphone connection.

Hello! Thank you for your report! The app is still in beta, so this information is very helpful.
To help the team locate the issue: Are the titles you are trying to access ones that you own, or ones that you have sharing access to?
The ones that I own, but I didn't even get to the listing of the titles.
If I remember correctly, it's at the boot of the app that it gets stuck (black screen with logo).
Actually, I got to the listing once and everything was working just fine without internet until I closed the ipad to do something else.
When I reopened it, it had to load again and got stuck.
I have the legendary bundle. Not sharing any content from anyone else
