I’m giving choice of any one rare item and one uncommon rare items I’m considering but open to suggestions windwraps, stunning fingerlets or cloak of displacement uncommon open to suggestions I’m also playing a shadow monk
I've no idea what windwraps and stunning fingerlets, I am pretty sure they are homebrew.
Cloak of displacement is good, a similar option is bracers of defense, the bracers are less good than the cloak when it is working but if a hit manages to get through you then lose the impact for the rest of the round if you get hit on the first attack by a creatre with multi-attack or if you ar esurrounded that might hurt. Also if you are restrained or incapacitated you lose the benefits of the cloak. Flavourwise cloack of displacment probably fits a shadow monk better
Two options for uncommon.
While monk attacks become magical at level 6, about the time the rest of the party are getting +1 weapons you don't get the +1 to hit or damage. Eldritch Claw Tattoo not only fixes this but the eldritch maul enables to you add a d6 to all your damage rolls ofr 1 battle a day and the 15ft range means for pretty much everything you can go in make your attacks and run away without provoking op attacks.
Monks are pretty much useless is range sometimes shadow step or 9th level unarmoured movement might be able to get you to an otherwise unreachable enemy but if it is bright light or your DM doesn't allow you to teleport onto the back of a flying enemy (and stay there), my monk has found winged boots invaluable when dealing with flying enemies
Windwraps adds +1 dex and one extra attack when using fury of blows and fingerlets gives disadvantage on con saving throws when using stunning strike. Another option was amulet that add ki equal to my proficiency bonus. But any rare item in dndbeyond is available
With homebrew like that don't look at official stuff!
The windwraps it depends if it is +1 to Dex or +1 to dex modifier and if it allows your dex to go over 20. If it is a yes on both counts it does about twice as much improvment to your DPR compared to the eldritch claw tattoo on rounds you use FOB and does more damage as long as you FOB at least 25% of the time. You don't get ability to attack from 15ft once per day but you get to use your extra dex for stealth, initiative, acrobatics, avoiding fireballs etc which is much better.
Stunning strike is a strongest ability of monks (at least until they get diamond soul). If you compare it to something like hold person, while stunned is not quite as strong an effect (no auto crit on melee attacks) you are causing damage while you do it and if you fail you can try again. The only problem with it is against creatures with a high con save you can really burn though your ki, if you can improve your odds of stunning from 50% to 75%. that is enormous.
The ki amulet depends on your level while monks are always wanting more ki this is especially true at low levels and proficiency bonus doesn't scale as well as level. A 5th level monk would get 60% extra ki with the amulet at level 17 when the monk fist benefits from +6 proficiency it is down to 35%. Without the fingerlets you would use more than 40% ki per stun (a reasonable averege for the amulets) if you have a 60% chance to stun, so if you ar eanly trying to stun if the chances of stunning are less than 0.6 you want the fingerlets and more than 0.6 you want the amulet. That would favor the fingerlets but the amulet is more flexible as it increases ki use for things other than stunning strike.
I was considering wing boots but decided to go with Eldridge claws for added damage and 15 foot reach. I’m basically the only melee character in party. 4.

Description say +1 to dex score trying to decide extra attack and dex increase is better long term over disadvantage con savings throws
Updating I chose stunning fingerlets and Eldridge claw tattoo
+1 vote for winged boots... added mobility in a 3rd dimension is great for monks
