Depends on your DM/campaign; if you think they'd let you get away with using acrobatics for traversal then it could be a lot of fun to have, e.g- for parkour style free running up to awkward places and such. It's also handy for escaping enemy grapple and shove attempts.
As the others have said, perception is a commonly requested skill check for a lot of things, but it really depends what your campaign and DM are like, and what you want most for your character.

Former D&D Beyond Customer of six years: With the axing of piecemeal purchasing, lack of meaningful development, and toxic moderation the site isn't worth paying for anymore. I remain a free user only until my groups are done migrating from DDB, and if necessary D&D, after which I'm done. There are better systems owned by better companies out there.

I may have the skill expert feat and I have proficiencies in both.
My last monk ended with a 32 passive perception* and it drove my DM bonkers. He could never hide creatures from me.
Which you pick really depends on your character. Mine enjoyed being able to perceive the slightest things, so he went with expertise in perception.
* base (+10), 20 wisdom (+5), Observant (+5), proficient (+6), and expertise (+6)
Perception see much more use throughout the game, so expertise it in will be more worthwhile than Acrobatics.
