Although there are a few feats which can help the monk there are not really any feats that are specific to monks. In the mold of metamagic adept, eldritch adept, fighting initiate or magic initiate i think there should be a feat which lets other classes dabble in monk abilities and also benefits the monk itself. This one is called Ki Initiate.
Ki Initiate: no prerequisites
You gain two ki points. These ki points are regained after a short or long rest. If you already have ki they are added to your total.
You learn one of Flurry of Blows, Patient Defense or Step of the Wind. You can spend 1 ki point to use your chosen feature as a bonus action.
If you are a Monk of 2nd level or higher you can use any monk feature which you have access to, that costs 1 ki point, without spending a ki point. You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and regain all uses on a long rest.
----------
Notes: two ki points per short rest is about 4-8 extra ki per day depending on number of short rests. Free 1ki abilities like flurry or stunning strike to be used on a long rest makes it seem like you have more extra ki (even though you dont). I hope that it brings the monks ki to where it should be and lets other classes experience some of the coolness of being a monk.
I like it. My initial thought is I doubt any non monks would take FoB unless they like to punch and kick stuff. But I could see players liking BA Dash, Disengage, or Dodge.
And the option for monks to do 1 Ki abilities PB times per long rest for free is a good addition, I think.

Any thoughts? Too OP? Not OP enough?
