If I have Altered Self cast on my monk and choose to grow spikes on my hands do i use the monks Martial Arts table for damage? The 1d6 provided by the spell? Or whichever is greater?
The wording from Alter Self specifies you can make unarmed strikes with your natural weapons, which work with your Martial Arts features.
To me it seems clear you can use whichever die is greater (or lower if you wanted to roll low damage for some reason) and also add the +1 to attack/damage rolls and "magicness"

Thanks. i agree. i wasn't really in it for the damage output anyway. i wanted the +1 and ability to change my damage type when needed.
