Astral Spark. Your psychic connection to the Astral Plane enables you to mystically access a spark of divine power, which you can channel through your weapons. When you hit a target with a simple or martial weapon, you can cause the target to take extra force damage equal to your proficiency bonus. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, but you can use it no more than once per turn. You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
In my opinion, here it is specified simple or martial weapon. So it cannot be used with unarmed strikes.
Once per turn, when you hit a target with a simple or martial weapon, you can cause the target to take an additional +4 force damage.
Are unarmed strikes considered simple or martial weapons?
Ah the age old "are monk's fists weapons" debate...
No, unfortunately, they arent.. but they are considered a type of weapon attack... also considered magical weapons after a certain point but only for the purposes of avoiding resistances to mundane weapons.. stupid right? It gets even more convoluted than that but.. Tl;Dr: monk unarmed attacks are considered weapon attacks, but monk's body parts are not considered weapons.
If a feature says "when you make a melee weapon attack " the unarmed strikes qualify
If the feature says "if you make an attack with a melee weapon" the unarmed strike does NOT qualify.
