Kensei . ironically one of the better monks becuase their features work with weapons and monks fist do not scale well enough or benefit from fighting styles that would increase their damage.
Played through a campaign as a Drunken Master Monk and had a lot of fun. If you want to be able to run around the battlefield or rely more on dex than wisdom it's a fun option. Mercy Monk also seems like it would be fun to play, adding a bit of support to a monk's playstyle.

I’ve been wanting to play monk for a while but there are so many cool subclasses, I’ve had trouble choosing.
