Do the DnDBeyond tools enable me to create a custom monk item which grants additional ki points?
Currently, no. Post-2024-DMG? Answer hazy, ask again later.
More accurately, there's no way to have an item that increases the size of your ki pool. You could have an item that restores ki points, but you'd have to uncheck the boxes by hand when you use it.
Could you make an item that has charges (or something that provides check boxes), like a wand or something, and just call it Additional Ki? It wouldn’t be part of your Ki pool but you would have the check boxes to tick off as you use them? Not ideal but maybe an option

I’m sure there’s probably a way to create that magic item, but I’m not that familiar with HB. you could try the homebrew forums

You mean like BFG3? I haven't seen it as possible. Just wait until the new DMG, they will have new magical items for the Monk.
