So planning on playing a pallid elf with the DM's okay already, he will more than likely be a bit off, a flirt with bad charisma (flirting sometimes just for the reaction), and I want him to be kinda the underdog where people see him as just a loof and a good for nothing fool yet he's smart, skilled, and kind although blunt, honest, and laughs at things he probably shouldn't trying to cheer people up but not always succeeding with his lack of charismatic skills.
Pallid elves for those who don't know get the elven base stuff but as a sub race gets advantage on insight/investigation checks, wisdom as their subrace stat like wood elves, and they get innate spells similar to dark elves invisibility, the light cantrip, ect They are kinda the anti dark elves thematically with super abnormally pale skin.
I am looking at some fiction characters as inspiration one being greed from the seven deadly sins show and full metal alchemist where at first they seem like scum but as you get to know them you realize they are the misunderstood heroes who don't see themselves as good persay.
Any advice on a subclass? Planning for him to be a drop out of the monk temple my DM made on the map and that he over time developed his own way of fighting.

From this description, Drunken Master seems like a good fit.
