Out of curiosity, does anyone here have any BBEG concepts for their characters? I was thinking about Kite being a death knight and realized that it could actually be a really cool concept. For Kite, I think to become a villain she would have to either a) go crazy or b) lose her faith in humanity. A mix of both would probably be how to make her evil. And I think chaotic evil Kite would be terrible and amazing at the same time. I think the death of Mithris would really shake her, but it wouldn't break her by itself. If she went out for revenge, it would be a good start to her path of villainy. I was thinking she would keep her enthusiasm and 'happiness', but in a very chaotic evil/sadistic way.
For Atemos, I actually have a cool concept. The mortal to demon lord thing is a really good backstory for a villain because it kind of changes the demon mindset. For him to be a BBEG though, it'd probably have to take place at least 200-300 years in the future. If he let the past make him apathetic, he would end up with the mindset of 'I want to change the world for the better, but I don't care about what happens to the people who get in my way'. He would have to end up becoming more conniving and observant though. Serving as a second in command would probably give him that practice though.
Jovan: Maybe, probably not.
Gran: Unlikely, but if she returns to her hag status somehow, she’d make a fabulous villain.
Axiterounys: If the Tavern needs a villain, he might come back. He needs the least motivation to turn against the Tavern.
Anyone else: No.
Joe could become a villain if the tavern withholds food from him.

Konyan could become a BBEG if his friends abandon him. Even though his life has gone pretty well, he keeps losing his friends, and if Zolis ended up dying he could snap and turn on everyone else. He would also do anything to protect the people he loves, even if it means hurting the rest of the world.
Astara is already somewhat unstable, though she's getting better. There's no real way she'd become a BBEG, but she could turn into an enemy.
Mithris pretty much can't turn into a BBEG, unless she's somehow overcome by madness or believe that her efforts to help the world are all in vain.
Sarana is already walking a thin line between villain and hero. She's honestly not sure whether she's able to become good, and her innate nature could push her to become a selfish yet compelling villain.
Bornal is retired and doesn't have much of a reason to become a villain.
Calius is already the BBEG.
If someone steals some redcap steaks from Thurklea, she could turn evil very quickly.
Xhandras sometimes finds it hard to tell the difference between protecting his friends and hurting everyone else. This could (and has) lead him to make some bad choices that might lead to him to villainy.

I'm going to vote for the tragic death of K'theros (which occurs after his/her/its mythic odysseys).

The combined power of Bo and Lo can just barely defeat him... since his name is longer than theirs!
carrion would be a villain to the tavern if he wanted to or if they got in his way, because he's a sociopath.
Fixed.

hail Bullethawk has been spoted in the tavernpedia
Are you going to hail me every time I show up, Jack? XD
Yes.
Darn, I’m never gonna get used to the phrase.
Hail Bullethawk!
Great, now Half’s at it too. *face palm* I get that it’s a cult and all but ya don’t have to hail me every time. Just treat me like y’all normally do on the thread and that will suffice 🙂

Travoril is already a warlock of Calius and hates the Guardians, so he wouldn't be a BBEG, but he could be a potential enemy (and a very weak one).

Strength isn't solely measured by how powerful you can swing a sword or how fast you can dodge an arrow. Words can be sharper than spears.

His best move is running away and eldritch blasting, so I don't think he would be a threat.

Random Question, since that seems to be the point of this thread: What character you control is most likely to die in the near-ish future, if any?

Calius? But that's decently far off. Konyan or Astara might, but Mithris won't for at least a month or so (probably longer).

Atemos maybe? I don't think Kite is going to die, but Atemos might. Permanently anyways. It depends on a lot of factors. Kite could die as well, but is more unlikely.

Aina or Eris. Aina because of [Redacted], Eris because she lacks a survival instinct.
