"It's a bit of a sad story. Him, my mother and father, and I lived in a rather small village of varied types of genasi deep in a jungle. It wasn't that common for there to be that many genasi around each other at once, but that's how it was. Anyways, my mother, a fire genasi, had been a soldier when she was a bit younger, and had gained quite a few enemies. One night, they somehow tracked her to our home, and assassinated her. Julian and I didn't know what to do. Our father just told us to run, and he then ran towards the assassins. We did run, and ran until we dropped. In the morning, we kept running, until we reached a city. After we had stayed there for a while, I wanted to go and try to avenge our mother, but Julian was hesitant. So I left, and he stayed behind at a temple, being raised by the humans there. I haven't seen him since then. But I still search for my family and my mother's killers."

"It is a depressing existence, sometimes." Sunny notices the roots. "You going to sleep?"

“Thank you! My people are older than many worlds and rarer than a grove of redwoods, but we have many unique tricks. I won’t be able to fully replenish until I…you’d call it sleep, I suppose, but it’s more of a trancelike hibernation.”
"Makes sense. I'll need to sleep soon, too, but I just love the night sky."
