A striped tabaxi trudges through the cold as he heads to the tavern on top of the mountain. He wears green and yellow travelers clothing, and his striped fur is tinged with purple. His bright eyes are yellow and he smiles widely, unnaturally widely despite the frigid weather. He looks weary and ragged, but does not cease to stumble towards the tavern. His hands are extended before him and move rhythmically as he expertly catches all three of the juggling balls that he sends arcing into the air. The juggling tabaxi throws the balls high above his head, but never fails to catch them as they tumble back down, and then they are launched into the heavens once more in a perpetual cycle. He staggers to the tavern clearly exhausted. He kicks the door open with his foot for his hands occupied with his juggling, and he stumbles into the pub. He shouts a triumphant, "Hurrah!" and his unnaturally wide, toothy grin widens even more in victory.
*the tavern was actually destroyed, but we can have this happen before that. somewhat of a flashback or something*
you hear the sound of an argument escalating
The purple, juggling tabaxi looks around for the source of the argument.
you see a man standing over a woman (who's down on her knees), and multiple dismembered 10bodies strewn around the room. the man has an axe to the woman's neck
The tabaxi chucks the three juggling balls he holds at the man with the axe. If I need to roll to hit, 10109
On a hit, the juggling balls explode in purple smoke and flashing light dealing 108 radiant damage.
Wow, I rolled low. I forgot to add the damage for the third ball, I doubt it matters, but here. It does 6 radiant damage on a hit.
no hits, my dude
*Yeah, I ain't surprised.*
The tabaxi lobbed the juggling balls but they flew wide, completely missing. However, the explosions distracted the man with the axe, giving time to attack. (I am assuming this because you didn't have him take any actions.) The tabaxi pulls out a bow that was slung over his back. He strings an arrow and takes careful aim, all the while smiling that disturbingly wide grin.
To hit: 12 Damage: 5 piercing damage plus 2 psychic damage on a hit.
The thunderous sound can be heard getting closer and closer, until a gargantuan mammoth burst through the trees. It lets out a deep and guttural trumpet, waking up the black kobold resting on its right tusk. Standing on top of its head is a dark robed person holding an obsidian encrusted staff.

You sense a seemingly infinite amount of energy coming from the robed person. The mammoth also seems to be seen in historical context with a specific goddess. The goddess of chaos.

The mammoth puts its head down, allowing the kobold and robed person to hop off. The second they’re off, the mammoth turns into a scorpion and crawls to the top of the obsidian staff, turning to obsidian itself.

The attack hits, knocking the tabaxi to the ground. He leaps back up and stands at the ready. Strangely, his sharp toothed smile doesn’t fade, in fact it only seems to widen. He slinks over to the woman on the ground, and whispers in her ear, “Now would be a good time to make a run for it. Quickly now.”
