Out of the clouds, a seemingly dead giant metal falcon fixed with more weapons than you can count falls, a girl wearing black robes and holding a glowing purple spear in its back is riding it.

Out of the clouds, a seemingly dead giant metal falcon fixed with more weapons than you can count falls, a girl wearing black robes and holding a glowing purple spear in its back is riding it.
The guardswoman screams for backup over the vox
The bird crashes into the ground. The girl pulls the spear out, which disappears afterward, takes a look at the guard, and asks, “I’m guessing this isn’t Ushina?”
The guardswoman pulls out her lasgun and aims at the girl's head
“Of course. Look. I don’t want to fight right now. So if you’ll excuse me…” She moves out of the lasguns way and reach into the part of the dead robot bird her spear was stabbing.
the guardswoman, clearly terrified yet trying to follow orders, says "who are you?" while still aiming
She pulls out a red crystal. She looks at it and says, “Names Saisho Majutsu-shi.”
“You know what? Just call me Sai.”
*sry had to shower*
"Sai?" the woman says, not lowering her weapon
“Short for Saisho.” She pulls a wood staff from her robes. This staff has a green and blue crystal in it, and Sai puts the red crystal on. “And that’s a level up and one step closer.”

Maykaa wakes up, shivvering. They must have had a terrible nightmare, but they shake it off and get ready for their day. The clay doll, named Mage, watches from a shelf. The stuffed toy, named Sage, rests in Maykaa's bed.
