He points towards the portal

They turn and step though 

They find themself floating though a vast purple-black void, until they reach a huge stone disk. Ten temples are built on the disk, and you are drawn to one of them

What does it look like 

It appears to be built of flesh, with blood vessels snaking over its surface. The framework of the temple is made of huge bones

They head towards and go in

Inside the temple, you see what appears to be a bundle of blood vessels hanging down from the ceiling, dripping blood into a cauldron. There is a cup next to the cauldron

They look around for other people

Everything is eerily quiet, except for the sound of dripping blood and a strange echoing from the cup
