"Cool" Voidcaller follows Flint

Flint decides to take a 'shortcut' to the dig by going through the sewers

The dig site is... odd, to say the least. Flint recognizes how well-funded it is, having adamantium-sheathed tools to move earth faster, and they are even outfitted with augers and dump trucks, but he also notices that

1. These people are not actually official city workers. They have badges, but their cloaks identify them as people from the ravaged town mourning their losses.
2. These people do not have the proper training to handle such equipment. There is a large medical tent nearby, and it is already overcrowded.
3. Not all of the workers seem to be in the best health. Some of them are elderly or physically disabled, such as missing limbs or being paralyzed.
4. There has been no explanation whatsoever for what this excavation is for, and it is going far deeper than most places would even build a basement.

Detect Magic doesn't really detect anything out of the ordinary. The machines are fuelled by magic, however, showing once again how well-funded this job is.

 Most of the workers here, at least the ones not working as healers since they didn't hire specialists there either, are wounded from misuse of their tools. Some of them are genuinely sick, though, and brings to question why they even showed up today.

 The people, especially the healers, are grateful, but while the injuries are healed, the sickness in the couple of ill patients there doesn't go away.
