they hold out their hand, which is slender and delicate compared to the rest of their body, obscured by the shadows. Their hand is black and shiny, with two claw like fingers and one thumb. Their hand starts to faintly glow, smoke from incense swirling around it in patterns. Mori smiles.
Angelique hesitates, then shakes Mori’s hand.

A aarokocra is standing over a bench tinkering with a small mechanical figure. The aarakocra has tan wings with white tips and blue eyes. As he stands from his work he turns and reveals a mechanical eye and hand.

The brightness intensifies, and Angelique feels a part of her mind leave her. She loses the ability to write songs. She also feels a protective ward of magic weave itself around her, protecting her from her fate.
