It was the middle of the night, so I saw my chance and ran off Into the forest. Many years of warlocking passed when I returned to the house, and I couldn't believe I had decided to come back.

So, I was standing there, but eventually I built up the courage to walk inside. My older "sister" Aine was sitting in the drawing room, looking worried until she caught my gaze. She leapt up and hugged me very hard and said "You came back! After a while Aisling and I thought..." Of course I knew she didn't tell them what happened to me, but my quiet thoughts of rage were stopped by Aine pulling me upstairs telling me "There's something you should see."

She led me into her mother's room, where I was certainly surprised. Aisling was sitting by the bedside on the verge of tears, and my stepmother was in the bed on the verge of death. I knelt down next to Aisling and tried to comfort her. She looked at me and said "I didn't mean to..." and then began to cry. "I didn't know she had natural bardic magic. A few days ago, Mother was scolding her for spilling ink on the floorboards when she yelled "LEAVE ME ALONE!" It generated a shockwave, sending mom hurtling down the stairs. The doctor said It's something inside her messed up" Aine explained. I couldn't believe it. After all these years, she'd gotten what she gave me. However, It didn't feel as good as I imagined.

I walked to the bedside. "What are you doing?" Aine asked. Unanswering, I placed my hand upon my stepmother's forehead and summoned the full power of my patron, healing her completely and making me a bit lightheaded. She sat up and her face went pale when she saw me, alive, unharmed, and well off. "Wha--How?" she spluttered "And why, after what I did to you!" Aine, ever the protective hothead older sister yelled "What did you do to her? You told us she ran away!" To our mother's apallment, I told my sisters everything. The fall, being left there, the fey restoring me, even my epithet; Cendir, which means "broken one" In fey. After hearing that, Aisling grew pale and Aine attempted to throttle her mother. She asked me "Then why did you heal her?" The best answer I could give was "If I don't do anything, I'm just like her"
