Weird and overcomplicated world!
(DEEP BREATH)
So there's this guy called the Star Bishop and he's the creator god. He makes a throne and the throne is sentient, and the Star Bishop is the throne's only friend. The star bishop makes realms, and he plops life onto the realms, and he throws the realms into the void and leaves them there so he can make more realms. Eventually he gets bored of making realms and settles down to make the lesser deities. He assigns these lesser deities to different realms so they can govern them. These lesser gods do their things and aren't important apart from one. He's unnamed at the moment but he doesn't like his lot. So he and his son absorb the power contained in their assigned realm and use it to overthrow and kill the Star Bishop. The usurper proclaims himself the True Sovereign and reigns in relative peace for the next 3000 years. However, the throne I mentioned earlier isn't happy that his best friend is dead. It goes bitter and insane over the millennia, and eventually snaps, blasting the True Sovereign's mind with darkness. This darkness causes the True Sovereign to gain an insatiable hatred for light. Around him, he sees the light of the realms, and he wants to destroy it all. However, when he tries to get up, he finds he can't. The throne has chained him into it, surrounded by the thing he hates. The True Sovereign then unleashes a scream, putting all his immense power into it. The scream creates a wave of darkness that extinguishes the light of the Realms and the lesser gods cultivating them. Soon, one realm remains- the very last realm created by the Star Bishop, Mortolia. The only realm without a deific cultivator. Shu'goran, the True Sovereigns son, uses all his power to create a magical barrier around Mortolia, now known as Abyssia, the veil against the night. Shu'goran then dies, his blood mixing into the barrier and seeping through onto the burgeoning realm, creating the source of the world's magic. 7000 years later, Abyssia is beginning to fail, and demons from the Nowhere beyond are slipping through.
