I find the idea of one multiverse to be unfeasible with all of the rules set by numerous franchises when delving into multiversal concepts so I propose the Polymultiverse, all multiverses exist at the same time but separate.

Strategies that I've seen
Dismantler:
Your main card is really annoying and the rest of cards are there to make your main card last as long as possible
Turbo-Energy:
One card has a "flip a coin for every energy" move and the rest of your cards force-feed it energy
Inflictor:
One card is buffed when the opponent has a status condition, and the rest of your cards are there to give your opponent the status condition

In the Pokemon trading card game you want no Pokemon in your deck
Like yeah my opponent has 10 soldiers and I have 2 but that doesn't matter when one of my soldiers is casting a spell on the other soldier making them travel at light speed without the need to reload their gun, also, I have 8 pints of super-juice, that make my soldier fire headshots every single time, with a buff on sleeping soldiers, and it happens the supporting soldier is also a hypnotist.

me, I go with conditional. where for every this they have you do great damage. my delphox does 50 damage for each energy the other person has and it's great.
