Yippee! I have a few ways I like to do this, in character questions and out of character questions. In character questions, you ask a random question (go wild) and I answer like the character would answer, and then out of character questions you ask me a question about the character and I answer as myself, the creator of the character. Out of characters will be more of a deep dive into personality, in characters will be pretty shallow but they can get deep. We could also do a RP, but instead of a normal RP, each character has a hidden goal, and they have to carry out that goal in character.
But if anyone else has any ideas for exercises helping me with my characters, please lmk!
Also choose: Gale, Jasper, Atlas, Orion, Aether, Crane (and then a lot more I’m forgetting)

Okay so I decided to tweak him a bit, he’s sorta like this guy who works for a really rich family to take care of his own family with the money he got from them. He was employed by their daughter, who was extremely disabled. She wanted to go on adventures and he reluctantly followed, loyal to her. She died and he has been trying to find his way home ever since, lost and without a purpose.

Aether is the adopted child of a really huge family. He’s always been a troublesome kid, and when he grew older, he decided to go into adventuring and alchemy. He’s kinda basic, rude in a very charming way, desperately needs development.

Perhaps, this might just be backstory and he found employment in Gonz’s character.

Also I'd like to interview Gale.
Basic details on Gale, he was the son of a rich noble and ran away from his island at a young age, joining up with a sailor crew. His crew was shipwrecked and he managed to survive, finding his way to a port city where he proclaimed himself a pirate despite actually being a sailor to get the street gangs to fear him. He’s been on the streets since. He has a kind of go with the flow mindset in an extremely passive aggressive way. I haven’t gone into his backstory too much, but he’s actually one of my most developed characters personality wise.

Okay so I have a few ideas on how I'd run it. It would probably be a bit like mafia, with a game master assigning out the secrets/roles, but you'd get to choose your character. We'd probably need 4-10 people not including the game master? If it comes to combat, probably use the dnd rules, the real only twist it has from a tavern is that the game master assigns your secret/goal/role. You win by being the last one standing and achieving your goal, you must do both, at any time someone can go to the game master's character, the host, and guess what your goal is, if they guess correctly, you're out. At any time, the game master can tell you you're being too subtle/unrealistic. Every person has three guesses per person, if you guess thrice what someone's goal is and they're all wrong, you're out. May lower that number upon playtesting or smth. Game master has a right to ask you privately details about your character. I'd probably be the first GM, I think the host would be one of the characters I listed above.
