Hello and welcome to my tavern based on Studio Ghibliβs Future Boy Conan! (also, my first tavern ever)
Rules:
Keep it PG-13
Nothing (too) OP
Put geomagnetic in your first post so I know you read the rules
Be nice OOC
Character Creation Specific Rules:
Characters max level 5
1 rare magic item tops
Magic is rare, like REALLY rare. If you want to be a caster max level 2
If you are a pirate, you can start with a Pirate Seaplane. If you are a Seaplane pilot, you can start with a model 1 Seaplane. Otherwise, start with a sailboat or fishing boat.
You should start with at least one boat/plane
Locations:
The Waterlogged Wraith: The most popular tavern in the world. It looks like a large, rickety wooden cottage with platforms and plenty of parking space. On the inside the tavern has a cozy feel and a magical fireplace that allows you to see places where you arenβt, only the tavernkeep knows its secrets. Tavernkeep: Kaboom the goblin. A chaotic goblin tavernkeep with a wild grin always plastered on their green face, their hair is one of the attractions of coming to the tavern, it being so long that it drags on the floor and is used as Kaboomβs main weapon. They wear a multicolor patchwork cloak made for a bugbear and lots of gold rings on their arms. They are also rumored to have magicβ¦ But everyone knows that canβt be trueβ¦ Right?
Fixerup! stops:
The auto repair of the world. These mechanic shops float in the air almost everywhere and also float in the sea. Some of the only places that pirates wonβt raid. Fixerup! are all run by one person whose identity is unknown.
Islands:
Home of common folk, islands are typically home to 2 or 3 families who have been there since the wars, people on these islands are typically farmers and fisher people. They donβt have the technology for seaplanes on these islands, but they probably have fishing boats. Most of the known islands are small.
The Aerocastle: The Aerocastle is the prime place to train for seaplane pilots, people with skill are taken here. Training lasts 4 years for most people. It floats in the air. Headmaster: Vasari Wingfoot the tabaxi. Vashri is a sleek silver tabaxi woman with striking blue eyes. She is a skilled pilot and towers at 7 feet tall. She wears golden and white robes with a gemstone necklace. She is known to be cold on the outside, but has a soft spot for birds. She speaks with a slight elven accent from her upbringing in a prosperous elven city.
The Gearbox: The Gearbox is a content intent on replicating the weapons previously used to flood the world. They are the bad guys of this story, and send out raiding parties and ships to raid, conquer, and destroy. They possess more powerful weapons than most other places in the world but have little to no compassion or teamwork skills. Their leader is the mysterious Giovanni Lekpa, who is intent on world domination.
The Valley of the Sea: The most prosperous of the islands, it has perfect conditions for growing things, lots of animals and tender temperatures. It is a place of peace. Unbenounced to the town, it is a high priority for the Gearboxβ¦ Mayors: Karl and Anna Breeze. The Breeze twins co-lead the island with fair and just hands, Anna is known to be a skilled warrior and a crack shot with her trusty laser pistol. Karl is the scholar, he is less charismatic then Anna, so he does all the brainy stuff in leading and doesnβt address the public very often. Anna has a wife and Karl is single.
The Great Ocean: I donβt need to explain this right? It's the ocean people, the main location for adventuring by sea.
The Sky: Same as the ocean, just for air.
Scazreatze: This floating prison is so well secured that it is used to hold the world's most dangerous villains. It is owned by the Alliance of the Sea Breeze. There have only been 3 reported escapes before.
Atlantis: After the world sank, some goblins adapted to life underwater. These sea goblins live underwater in the sunken cities of yore. They are also rumored to live in the depths of large trenches from where they get their goblin shark mounts.
You can create an island for you character to live on, then invite people to it. Animal Crossing style!
Factions:
Choose a faction for your character to be part of!
The Alliance of the Sea Breeze: The Alliance is made up of all the major islands. They are the βgood guysβ in this story and are united to fight the Gearbox and end its threat. They have powerful allies such as the Aerocastle's pilots and some suppose that they will make a deal with the pirates and the factionless to aid in their cause.
The Gearbox: The true evil. You serve Giovanni Lekpa and his quest for world domination. You are likely a soldier in his army or a pilot in his air force. Alternatively, you could be a spy or person who lives in the land of the Gearbox.
The Pirates: Independent raiders. Enemies of all, friends of none. Their prime goals are to shoot everything down and Raid. They are enemies of the Gearbox because they donβt want to be raided, so they may team up with other factions to fight against them, provided that there's pay.
Factionless: A vagabond of sorts, the classic adventurer. The closest you can get to a standard dnd adventurer. You support only your own motives.
Atlantean: It is rare for an atlantean to interact with the surface world. Atlantis has no allies and no enemies, so you are likely independent from the atlantean government. If you are an atlantean, you are most likely a sea goblin.
Machines:
Most players will start with at least a boat, pick something for your character. They are all upgradeable and customizable.

*oh, and Goblin is it possible to get access to other magic items if we fight powerful bosses/creatures?*
*Yeah!*
*time to make a character that kills a lot of people and probably boss monsters as well. Oh, and one more question, Goblin, what's the max level for half casters?*
