 She winces. "That's how it starts. Then you blame them, and then the anger grows, and then... well, it becomes your life. And there's no getting your previous one back."

 “Sounds like you have a lot of experience.” 

 She sighs. "That's one way of putting it. I... had a friend. Two, actually. But he was there when the other one died, and so... I blamed him for not being able to save her." She laughs softly, then, but it's sad, not happy. "That's why I'm here, actually. I've been following him for... oh, about a hundred or so years. Mostly in the Astral Plane. That was a nightmare."

 “You’ve been in the astral plane?” 

 "Yep. It's very fun when you just kind of float aimlessly for years because you're hunting someone blocked from conventional and magical means of tracking." She frowns. "And then you find out they were stuck in a cage the whole time. Yes, it's the absolute best."

 “Sounds like it.” 

 "1 out of 10. Would not recommend." She smiles for a moment, then looks off into the distance again. She doesn't actually seem to be looking at anything specific, though.

 “Who are you looking for?”
