"Well... I have this here. A shape." It holds up the carving. "It would not work for a bacteria. But perhaps if I shattered it into tiny pieces..."
"Yes... That could work..."
The skeleton slams its knife against the core of the rock, shattering it. It picks up a handful of shards. "Here."
"Good..."
The being pools the blood dripping from it's mask into a palm, and baths the shards in the fluid.
"... Life came from dust, and to dust it has returned... This is the cycle of life and death... And so it shall repeat..."
The being plucks out a single shard and its eyes glow a harsh blue. The shard shatters. The being repeats this process, until all the shards have been shattered into dust. No... not dust, but creatures, carried by the wind, away from the rock.
"The first life. So begins the first death. I am sure some will drown out there."
"Yes. Some will. And when more life sprouts up, a few creatures may find themselves suffering from an unknown ailment... perhaps a strange tumor... or maybe a cough... Depends on my mood, I suppose. And those afflicted will eventually die... and the bacteria will spread."
"But for now, they are alone. Can they even think?"
"No. They have no brain. They have limited function. Only feed on energy sent from the sun."

"An animal? Well, that is not within my domain. I cannot help with that. Or... could I... if a bacteria were to evolve beyond what I created it to be... that is how life has been created in many different worlds, including my own... Perhaps..."
“Yes, perhaps. Could you do it, or would that require time?”
"I may be able to nudge things in a particular direction... Ooh! This is exciting... reminds me of my school days... A lot of things do! But, like anything, it will indeed take time..."
“Time. I do not enjoy time. My patience… it is not a good feature of mine.”
*gatta exercise*
"Hm. Strange. I would've though a reaper would have more patience..."
*Bai!*
“I have little. Perhaps I should be the Early Reaper.”
"Well... Little is better than none."
“Yes, yes. And what should I call you?”
"I am Atrophos, the Plague Bearer."
“And I am the Early Reaper.”
"Mmmm... still doesn't have as good of a ring to it as 'skeleton thing person'."

“Pathetic. Maybe the next life will actually have the potential for suffering.”
"Ah- but even the smallest creature can have potential for suffering, either dealing it, or to take it."
“That is true.” It sighs. “I wish for the next life form to be created. An animal.”
"An animal? Well, that is not within my domain. I cannot help with that. Or... could I... if a bacteria were to evolve beyond what I created it to be... that is how life has been created in many different worlds, including my own... Perhaps..."

If I’m being annoying, tell me to shut up. Seriously. Just say “Bananer shut up.” And I will. For a few seconds!
Don’t listen to the folks down at Adohands. It’s good for me to overwork myself.
