The Tavern of Second Chances

"Kind greetings befall innocent travellers, I see," it replies forebodingly, tone dropping. "Shall I greet you with one of my own?"

 “Sure?”

With a swish of its cloak, the figure vanishes, exploding into a burst of black feathers that ooze and bubble violently as soon as they meet the ground. As Yejide backs up, not wanting to know what the substance’ll do to her, a clawed, bone-white hand perches itself upon her shoulder. “Boo!” comes a sharp whisper, but no one sits there when she turns to look. Only the occasional flap of wings sounds across the courtyard as she stands there in silence.

“What the (GP)!”

“Who or what in the world are you?!”

"Okay, see you." Lucinda then goes to and up the spiral stairs.

A tall, thin man in a plague doctor's hat is outside the tavern, searching through the trash. A necklace of gold teeth hangs from his neck

A tall, thin man in a plague doctor's hat is outside the tavern, searching through the trash. A necklace of gold teeth hangs from his neck

A grayish dragonborn walks up to the door and spots the person in the trash, "Are you looking for treasure?"

 *No one knows.*

'You don't know?'

A clatter, and with it enters a plump, balding man, his clothes strewn across his body and glasses askew, shoving his tremendous frame inside the door. A glass of wine already lies in his hand, the purple having leaked somewhat across his shirt.

*boop?*
