“Ok. Fine. You did keep my inventions from being confiscated before I went here. So 1 big barrel, and my favor’s off.” They go inside, into an empty room. The door closes, and the elf taps some bricks, making a trapdoor open. “Don’t tell anyone bout this. Too many thieves round here. But anyway, welcome to my laboratory.”

Morf looks around, " As strange as I remember it. " He says picking up a jar of Blinking Eyes

“Careful, those are fragile! Oh, Mr. Behir, you’re sitting on my homuncululus! Can you move over there... oh dear, my new gun model! I can rebuild it, don’t worry. You, human, those are explosive. I wouldn’t suggest touching them so can you mo- oh, told ya. The slime’ll wear off soon enough. Can you just take your gun-powder already!”

Morf takes the gunpower, turns, and walks out the door, Selestros in tail. Zaarok attempts to turn is massive bulk, crashing into several objects before he manages to exit the laboratory.

The Elf shouts after them, " Next time you come here you better be ready to pay for all that! "

They leave the city and head into the woods. They’re halfway to the base when they hear a voice. “Where are you going, murderers?” Anorak walks out of the bushes, a sun-hawk on his shoulder. “Surrender or die for your crimes.” “Neither of those sound very appealing,” Morf responds. “We can’t take you in open combat, it’s true.” He swings onto Zaarok’s back, and pulls Selestros with him. “RUN!”

Anorak does not move at first whispering some cryptic words to himself, before he runs after them, his Hawks taking to the skies and surveying the chase

Selestros draws his bow and shoots down one of the ascending hawks while Morf takes down another with a thrown knife. A third swoops at them, alight with flame. It barely misses Zaarok as the behir makes a sudden turn. Behind them, Anorak races towards them, gaining even though he's without a mount.

" We may need to split up, meet back at the cave. " Morf says to the others
