I have a level 3 Dragonborn Conquest Paladin. Current stats are 16, 9, 13, 10, 13, 17, with +2 in Char and +1 in Con. My GM is letting me move around stats and racial bonuses if I want. I'm planning on getting Dragon Fear at level 4 regardless of what I choose.
Leaning into the fear effects of my subclasses, is it better to go Undead Warlock for a dip (getting me Form of Dread) and balancing out my Str and Cha to 18, or maxing out my Char and dipping Hexblade?
You could always go 3 into undead for pact of the tome, take shilleleigh and still put your cha to 20 focus. I love undead for the conquest cuz of so much free fear each turn.
Thanks Royalrodney369! Yes that is definitely an option, although not until later levels.
I will probably still go with 18 str and 18 char (once I have taken dragon fear at level 4 ASI). Then go 1 level in Undead Patron warlock, then go paladin until level 9.
No problem, if you have watched D&D Optimized (I think that is the channel) on youtube, he actually goes over this exact build of utilizing dragonborn with the conquest and undead. Its what gave me the inspiration for my variant of it.
