Hi, I'd like to join this campaign. Is there anything you want in an application? I am willing to play characters of any class to suit the party, and can write my backstory accordingly with my character.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I will protect those I hate. Even ... even if the one I hate most ... is ... myself.
Currently we have a battle master fighter, OOV paladin, wizard, and a Goliath barbarian. A class that has some method of healing would probably be best.
The backdrop is the Dessarin Valley (in between Neverwinter and Waterdeep), where banditry and monsters are inexplicably on the rise, and the weather has turned strange. The adventure this far has centred on the town of Red Larch, a trading town in the Long road to Water deep.
You may choose your method of attribute scores but please post rolls in this thread if you go that route.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Name: Kalak Kholin
Ability scores: 71312141412
Race: Human
Class: Fey wanderer ranger
Backstory: Raised by family in the wilderness, Kalak grew up surrounded animals and plants, but no civilization. As he grew, he was exposed to the magic of his family, and was granted the blessings of the fey. While expirimenting with his powers, he accidentally trapped his younger brother in the fey, and now searches for a portal so he can enter the fey and bring him back.
If there’s any room still open, I could roll up a character! Sorry if I’m bothering you, though

Char spent much of his life working as a shipwrite in the close-by city of Waterdeep. He enjoyed the building, crafting, and, best of all, the designing of a ship. He loved his job, and was known as a good and sturdy choice for contracting of a new ship. This all changed though. There was a fire in a rival builder's shipyard. From items found at the crime scene, the guards pulled Char in for questioning. He told them he had nothing to do with it, but there was simply too much evidence that pointed towards Char. Not enough to pin the fire on him, but enough to harm his credibility in the city. Soon his customers were going elsewhere, and no one would hire him to build them a ship.
Since then Char has been trying to rebuild his reputation. He has been taking on whatever job he can, from merchant guard to scout. He is currently working one of those jobs, as he comes into contact with the other characters.

an ex Zhentarim assassin, Lynx is a strong-willed and strong worded mage of the school of enchantment. They are often found drinking with the elite of any city they find themself in, just trying to find someone who could be of use of them in their chase to escape their past. They have run afoul of many a ranking noble, and are currently just trying to put their past behind them and move on. Using their skills with magical words to beguile foes into letting them go and using it to escape tight spots, they would never dream of becoming a player of any major sort in the workings of the world. Unless, of course, the pay was good...
they are a tall (6’1”) Darker-skinned human with close cropped curly black hair, and two brown eyes. Their skin is covered in tattoos that they used to cover in makeup on jobs but now let them show for the world, a large rose-bush pattern across the entire left side of their body and many arcane symbols covering the right. They hold their spellbook close in a small satchel at their hip. https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/Pheonix_Daemon/characters/66283697 Character sheet : D

Hi! I'm hoping to join with a character that I have played in another campaign that died, thanks!
Name: Ankita
Race: Firbolg
Class: Druid (Circle of Stars)
Background: Outlander
Backstory: Ankita comes from a peaceful tribe. It is quite a large one, where she has several mothers and fathers that she feels almost as strong a connection to them as she does to her biological parents. They are a strong group of firbolgs that protect the forest they live in. Taking care of bandits, raiders, monsters, elementals… you get the idea. They have to keep a close eye on this forest as it is magical with it’s own healing powers. Though no one outside of her tribe knows this, they do not feel the need to share their abilities or healing capabilities with the outside world. Each firbolg has embraced these magics in their own and unique way.
Ankita is a strong, kind firbolg, though a bit naive. She has taken the circle of the stars path for her own journey. She is embracing that and wants to learn more. Her Druidic ways are also giving her an itch to leave and explore the world and do what she can to help right wrongs.
Once adored by a loving family, Ember always loved the woodlands. Shunning her family, she agreed to run away with a wandering rogue only to discover that the kind stranger was a shapeshifter. This shapeshifting elven traitor revealed her half-elf heritage and enticed her to return to her homeland. Filled with outrage, Ember raced home to find it burning. Since then, she is distrustful of elves. In her grief, she begged Pelor, the god of her adopted family, to send her his favor in avenging her family. Pelor gave her the gift of a Jackal named Aldus, who speaks directly to her mind and guides her in her paths. When Ember returned to the shapeshifter, he had gone. She travels the woodlands throughout the continent looking for the shapeshifter and taking odd jobs to support her endeavors. She has used this time to learn about many cultures and societies as well as fighting styles.
APPEARANCE
Ember stands tall for a half elf at 6'0." Her appearance is primarily human but her sickly pale skin gives her elf lineage away. Tucked behind her long, thin ears is her brown hair which hangs limply around her shoulders. She clothes herself in light armor made of deer hides she crafts herself. As she turns to look at you, her eyebrows arch upwards at the ends, giving away her wisdom beyond her years and the perception of one who has betrayed and been betrayed before.
Takosh was born to a life of privilege and comfort. He spent that life a bit at odds with a spirit that tried to show him all the ways he might help those around him until the day he lost his voice… it was the result of a tragic brain injury. He discovered that his new condition gave him a fuller perspective on life, and pursuing the greater good, finding he even relished taking on the troubles of others. It did not go unnoticed, and he was himself with power to carry out Ilmater’s purposes. Takosh now looks to take this power to someplace strange and far from the safety of his ivory tower. The spirit bound to his and the very voice of Ilmater encourage his steps that would lead him to the adventurers near Red Larch
not sure why it’s saying rolls are manipulated… this site sometimes, I swear lol
