The Study of Realms, a library containing portals to demiplanes, is under attack of a devil named Caelius. The apprentice of the library's former guardian, named Matthias Emberstaff, has recruited you to save the library, and possibly a great deal of the realms from Caelius's scheme.
Information
-This starts probably on Monday (The second of July), but may start sooner if we have enough players. -This game should go from level 1 to 6 with milestones. (There's a bonus part that goes all the way to level 10) -There won't be live sessions here, so just post when you can make it!
Rules
-Taking turns is not necessary outside combat, but it is mandatory in combat. -Homebrew is okay as long as I approve your homebrew idea(I probably will if it's not crazy). Anything that is 5e and not homebrew is already fine. -No maps will be used, for the purpose of distance in combat if you make a melee attack against an enemy or they make a melee attack against you it is assumed you are within 5 ft of eachother. The distance between you and enemies unless otherwise specified is half of the room away. For example, if the room is 30x30feet it is assumed you are 15 feet apart. -You must start at level one, or the party's APL. (If the game hasn't started yet that's level 1) -The milestone system is being used. -You can only buy gear from in-game merchants, not between games. -Coins(CP,SP,GP,EP,PP) are divided up equally with spare money not going to anyone. -Special treasure such as magic items are rolled off for, for example you can't just pick it up. If you claim a magical item say so and if no one else claims it within 3 days it's yours. If multiple people claim the same item on the third day roll off for it. -When your character is talking I'd prefer you use quotations " and when you are talking out of game id prefer you use parenthesis or bracketts () [].
(If you're interested PM me with your Race, Class, AC, and Passive Perception!)
will pm soon, got 2 characters I'm waiting to play (fire genasi cleric of the forge and kenku monk way of the kensei), but thinking may make a 3rd to better fit the setting.
edit: nvm this is for live sessions, you should have posted in the looking for players forum then (I'm hardly able to get a fixed schedule so not going for any lives)
Well fitting the settling isn't a big deal here! The Library is in Elturgard, a land on the swords coast. So, a Kenku and a Genasi could totally fit in.

the problem would be their backstories. A tortle wanderer would have fitted and it is what I was creating untilll i read again and you want live :(
Edit: pm'd then, and fitted the story as well, even if it is a combat centric game I want my story to match the setting
Well about the live sessions, since only three people are signed up I think we could do without the live sessions. About the backgrounds this is the Sword Coast, so any DND race could plausibly exist here. In Elturgard the most common thing is a human paladin, but traveling humanoids aren't necessarily rare.

Hi! I sent you a PM, looking forward to the game. : )
Got it! Thanks!
Hey there! Sent some deets in a PM, but I've also got a few questions that might be best answered publicly.
How do you want ability scores determined - array, point buy, 4d6 drop lowest?
Also, are feats allowed?
