In the city of Neverwinter, a dwarf named Gundren Rockseeker asked you to bring a wagonload of provisions to the rough-and-tumble settlement of Phandalin, a couple of days’ travel southeast of the city. Gundren was clearly excited and more than a little secretive about his reasons for the trip, saying only that he and his brothers had found “something big,” and that he’d pay you ten gold pieces each for escorting his supplies safely to Barthen’s Provisions, a trading post in Phandalin. He then set out ahead of you on horse, along with a warrior escort named Sildar Hallwinter, claiming he needed to arrive early to “take care of business.”
You’ve spent the last few days following the High Road south from Neverwinter, and you’ve just recently veered east along the Triboar Trail. You’ve encountered no trouble so far, but this territory can be dangerous. Bandits and outlaws have been known to lurk along the trail.
(This is a good time to introduce and describe your characters. Also one of you needs to be driving the wagon. Good Luck Friends)

Eider, Level 13 Human Abjurer Wizard - Colosseum of Conquest (11W-3L) (Tougher than he looks)
My name is Mehen. I try and keep to myself, but I will defend you in anyway I can as long as we have the same end goals......ridding this world of vile and evil. I may look like a bit like a blue dragon, but I wear my cloak at most times so it's usually hard to detect who I am unless I take off the hood and gloves. Horses usually are a bit skiddish around me so I wouldn't suggest I drive the cart. What are your names.
Hi my name is Rhapthorne, I'm just here to make ends meet and don't seek to harm simple folk of this land.
Rhapthorne is a Silver Sorcerer Dragonborn, with a cross bow. He is a sage that knows Orcish and Elvish. Also 6'2 250lb. One last thing I'm totally a dude not a chick.
Hello Uthal and Rhapthorne. Are we ready to go down this path? Who with be driving the horses? I can take watch behind the wagon. I'm sure any villans or raiders will be scared of someone with my size carrying such a large sword on their shoulder looking like they could swing at any moment....
I'll volunteer to drive the wagon, since I'm decent at animal handling. I'm a half-elf named Fletch (haven't given a last name), and I stand at about 5'3" with short, brown hair and tanned, freckled skin marred by fading bruises over my left eye. I carry a quarterstaff with me at all times, and I keep my haversack full of my possessions at my feet rather than putting them in the cart behind me.
A mouse crawls out from somewhere in my coat. I break off a piece of bread crust from my rations to feed it, and it squeaks happily before retreating back into my coat.
Nice to meet you Fletch, Uthal, and Mehen, let's just try to get this done as easy as possible, so just have me wherever you would like or whatever easier.
You can call me Pahket, I hunt goblins and Gnolls and the like for a living. Taking the occasional protection job from time to time.
Pahket is 6 feet tall and somewhat thin looking with a patchwork calico pattern to her fur. She is dressed in dark green and brown leathers and carry a long bow and quiver on her back and 2 kopesh style short swords.
Shall we head down this trail then? Is anyone willing to scout ahead a little bit maybe? That way we don't run into anything and we are prepared? I've got the rear....
I smell the dead flesh of a horse. I'm am using quite a bit of will to not just run forward and start devouring it in front of everyone. I call to the rest of the party...does anyone else see or sense anything around us? There is nothing behind us that I can see.

Perception roll to see if I can tell if anyone or thing is following us
Despite being distracted with butterflies Pahket sees a dead horse up ahead on the trail blocking your way.
Mehen sees nothing following your caravan.
