I'm thinking about DMing another Lost Mines of Phandelver campaign for those who don't have a lot of experience playing D&D. I've been playing for almost nine months, so I'm still pretty new myself. In that time, I have really loved playing on D&D Beyond. I've been mentored by some great players and DMs. My first expedition into DMing is going fairly well, I think. I make mistakes, but my players are gracious. I'd like to start up another campaign, and I think I'd like to use this one to help some new players learn what I've been taught, and they can help me continue to grow as well. LMoP is designed to be 5e's starter campaign, and I've become pretty familiar with it, so that is the campaign I will use.
If you're interested, you don't need to yet create a character if you'd like to not go through the process (as I'm not sure how many will respond — and the party can't be too big), but the races will be restricted to those in the basic rules to help keep the craziness to a minimum. Unless a player graces the campaign with content sharing (I can't), you'll be restricted to what you have available to you for character creation. The characters will begin as acquaintances, so we'll work a little bit on their pasts together before the campaign begins.
I do ask that you only respond if you can check the forum daily. I'm not going to demand that you post every day (some characters just don't talk that much), but you need to at least be able to see if someone has asked you a question or if it's your turn in combat.
So, if you're pretty new to D&D, and you'd like to help discover the lost mines of Phandelver, respond below. I will close this recruiting thread when I have the right number of the right type of players.
I've been playing since about February so I have a bit of experience I have done a bit with this campaign but am still fairly near the begining. If it helps I can do content sharing as well since my character concept would invovle using races outside of the normal free provided things. If is allowed I would like to use some of the ebberon content to make a changeling rogue and or bard or possibly for currosity a Bloodhunter from Critical Role. If not then my thoughts would turn towards using another character that would better fit the party.
@DarthDrizzt, I would like to keep the races to Dragonborn, Dwarf (Hill or Mountain), Elf (Eladrin, High or Wood), Half-Elf, Half-Orc, Halfling (Lightfoot or Stout), Human (Variant OK), Rock Gnome, Tiefling, or Variant Aasimar for simplicity sake. Classes, backgrounds, feats, spells and equipment can come from any official publication.
I'd like to throw my hat in the ring. I'm an old-time D&D player, but I'm a newbie on D&D Beyond and with Play-by-Post, so I'd like to get more experience. I haven't played Lost Mines, so I'd like to try the module out. If you pick me, I'd probably play a half-elf or halfling bard.
I have never played d and d before, so this would be my first game ever. I am very interested, I can check the forum everyday, I have a Wood Eld Rogue rolled up, but I could do another if need be.
https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/HeffRumblegrind/characters/6231143 I have been watching a ton of Critical Role, and have played around with the character builder some. Not entirely sure how all the dice rolls will work. That thread was pretty serious. Willing to learn though. Haven't played since before the 3.5 version days so while I was knowledgeable at one time, I've forgotten much over that time. Kind of like starting from scratch. I'd be interested in joining this campaign.

I would like to participate as a Human Barbarian preferably.

Understood. I am gonna have to sadly back out as most of my ideas involve races and subraces other then the basic ones. Hope the rest of you have fun.

I would be interested. Haven’t played this campaign or much at all. Willing to play any role to fit the party.

Hey I’m fairly new to D&D and would love the opportunity to get into this game as a Teifling Wizard

If this isn't full already/started I'd love to join, I'll roll a char if you have room for me.
I have sent out invitations to the players I felt would be the best fit. Thank you to everyone who responded to this thread.
