That's terrible! And there's a guy with two 16s and a 15 there, just like that! Okay, I hope you let me use the standard point buy. Here I go:
Name: Mick Foley
Race: Human (Variant)
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Class: Fighter (though planning on going Bard for a while)
Physical Description: Mick has a thick beard and long hair, and always a smile on his face. That lets people notice immediatly how many teeth he's lost, but doesn't hide his good heart at all. A big heart, of course, needs a big torso, and Mick certainly puts himself to the job when it comes to food. As a consequence, his belly has grown to adjust to his torso, hips, legs and mostly everything else. He feels happy about it, though, and never takes bad a joke - or almost never.
Background: Folk Hero.
Backstory: Mick was born and raised in a small village from the Northern Sword Coast, near the Spine of the World. As such, his family and friends have always had to work their way in life the hard way. Tough and stubborn, a young Mick quickly stood out during some hunts and squirmishes, and suddenly he felt every single young girl's gaze on his nape.
Mick, on the other hand, was not too keen on ending up married, with lots of mouths to feed and no time to pursue his dreams. Because what the young dude really wanted was to become a caravan guard, like his uncle Randy. He dreamt of sleeping under the open sky, driving back orcish raiders and who knows, maybe one day even getting into a dungeon. Uncle Randy had been in a dungeon once, carrying torches for some adventurers, and he always told the kids fantastic stories of treasures and dragons.
The youngling talked to his family, and they agreed that he should pursue his beloved career - even though they looked uncle Randy askance. "When you're ready to settle, come back home so I can see my grandchildren grow up" his father said. He went South and started doing small jobs until he reached Luskan, and from there Neverwinter, Waterdeep and even Baldur's Gate. He's had his share of fighting, laughing and drinking, and for now it's not in his plans to go back home.

Kind of like the idea of limiting this to what's in the Player's Handbook. Reminds me of what it was like when I first started to play.
Ability Scores: Ability scores: 131410181513
Name: Pruecy "Pru" Bramblecheeks
Race: Halfling - Lightfoot
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Class: Bard
Physical Description: Pru is in a constant state of motion, but when she holds still long enough to get a look at, the bright green eyes, and long red braids atop her 3' tall and about 35 pounds frame draw everyone in. While always clean, there's always still an air of slight disarray about Pru. long strands of red hair not quite contained by her braids get in her eyes. He tunic never seems to stay tucked in. Boot laces may or may not be fully tied.
Background: Urchin
Backstory: Pru's family were modest, conservative, stay at home farmers. Her town was filled with like minded, conservative halflings, rising early to work in the fields, the brewery, the creamery or the other crafts, and then working until dusk. The patron deity of the village, Cyrrollalee was also one of the more conservative halfling gods. There was always food on the table and a warm bed to sleep in, but oh did Pru find it the most incredibly boring life. Every chance she would get, she'd sneak away into the market towns in the neighboring valleys and run wild with the kids on the street, learning all sorts of life skills you'd never come across in the village. The daring of it all was enough at first, but Pru soon realized she kept coming back because of the music and performers. The street buskers mesmerized her, and rather than be annoyed by her presence, they all took a liking to Pru and taught her what they could. She soon was portraying herself as an orphan urchin without a copper to her name, who took to the streets with hopes to earn coin from passers-by by dazzling them with her street performances. And when that didn't work out, she wasn't averse to picking a pocket or two along the way.
Fortunately the one time she was caught with her fingers in a pocket, the owner of the pocket turned out to be far more amused by this small girl with a wild shock of red hair than he was upset. He turned out to be an accomplished bard, Dewey Finn, who taught Pru how to find the hidden vibrations and power in the world around her and how to weave that into the music she was making. Pru soon decided that nothing could be better than learning more about the greater world and all the power just sitting there to be found.

Ability scores: 131411171016
Name: Nariah Fairgrove
Race: Half-Elf
Gender: Female
Age: 22
Class: Warlock
Physical Description: Red Haired, Green-Eyed
Background: Can I do a custom background, it's charlatan, except it has Folk Hero's abiility.
Backstory: Spurred on by her sister's victimization and death, Nariah's anger and desire for revenge drew the attention of the Dark Lady, a powerful and mysterious Arch Fey. She was granted power, but commanded to go out in search of men who had hurt woman and extract revenge.
Physical Description: Laura is a slender half-elf of dark complexion with long thick brown hair. She has orange-gold eyes. Dressed in a light brown tunic and dark scale armor, Laura strikes a lithe figure.
@dragon_assassin34 not sure how much PBP you've done on D&D Beyond, but not rolling your stats in public and then somehow getting a 20, 19, and 18 out of those same hidden rolls makes it hard to put that character in a party. A DM that asks for point buy/standard array/roll usually isn't looking for a party of overpowered superhero 1st Level characters. The other party members usually aren't too keen on that player either. Definitely not telling you what to do, just a suggestion. Lots more fun here when everybody is on the same page.
Posting as a place holder whilst I put a character together. Hope that's ok
Ability scores: 14171413812
Name: Zyldi Ostoroth
Race: Wood Elf
Gender: Male
Age: 126
Class: Monk
Physical Description: Lithe, even for an elf. Years spent in servitude, away from his native home have left him with an air of defeat. His shoulders stooped, hair unkempt in a baggy low pony tail and clothed only in the most basic tunic, a casual glance would never reveal he is actually a wood elf.
Background: Urchin
Backstory:
Born into a small forest tribe, Zyldi spent the first 70 years of his life like any other wood elf - running with the animals, tribal dances on a moonlit night, communal feasts to celebrate some distant relatives union day.
All that changed the day his hunting party were ambushed by orcish raiders. Taken completely by surprise, the group of four elves never stood a chance. They were sold into the slavery market where they were seperated and sent to various rich criminal families across the land.
Some 50 years of service later he was able to flee his captors and escape into the city where he paired up with an old drunkard living in a city park. It was he who taught Zyldi how to fight for himself, how to focus his hatred and to channel that hatred through his every action. It is this new found focus that has inspired him to begin trying to find his way back to his old home, his old self.
If you look at the tool bar, there's a button at the far right that looks like a die with three pips on it. If you hover over it, it says Dice roller (if you're on your phone, you might have to turn your phone on the side to landscape to get the tool bar).
Three options then show up when you click on it - Basic, Combat, Ability Scores. Select Ability Scores.
Leave the number of abilities at 6.
Then in the drop down, select Once (I think everyone here who has rolled has one with Drop 1's Once).
Then hit Okay.
If they're truly terrible, I think the DM is allowing Standard Array or Point Buy as an option.
Physical Description: Aranor is a tall moon elf with long, silvery white hair and piercing grey eyes. His skin is the color of ash. Lean yet muscled, he moves with an almost feline grace, dancing across the battlefield. He prefers to wear clothes and armor in shades of navy or black, trimmed with silver.
Background: Noble - Knight
Backstory: Aranor is the third son of a minor noble family. As the third son, he wasn't the heir or the spare so he dedicated himself to his martial training and became a knight. Overshadowed by his older brothers, Aranor has always strived to make a name for himself and achieve glory and reknown for something more than his family name. He prides himself on his independence, and he does his best to stay out of the day-to-day affairs of his family's house. He can take care of himself; he isn't beholden to his family's purse strings, or so he tells himself. Fancying himself a hero of the people, he takes jobs to protect the small folk from threats such as bandits and goblins. One such job went awry when, due to his prideful nature, Aranor believed he could rescue a merchant's daughter from being ransomed by bandits all on his own. Botching the job, he managed to kill the kidnappers but not before they slit the girl's throat. She died in his arms, and since then his guilt and shame have humbled him and left him feeling as if he is nothing more than an impostor.
Physical Description: its hard to tell behind the armor but kaladin is a slightly taller than normal tiefling with an infuriatingly smug grin even after accidentally lighting himself on fire,he has abnormally pale skin and eyes that seem to be all pupil. he stands tall in battle happy to destroy those he considers evil.
Background: soldier.
Backstory: found at the doorstep of an old priest kaladin was raised to fight injustice and evil, when he was considered old enough he joined a secret group of paladins whos job is to hunt demons, heretics, and false gods. When he was twenty five he set out to destroy evil, he searched for a group to quest with.
This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?
quote from Romantically Apocalyptic byVitaly S Alexius
Physical Description: Tall, lean and lithe, Rim looks healthy enough, but for his almost sickly pale skin. The skin of someone who has gone years without seeing the sun except through windows. His pointed ears poke out from his tousled, blonde, shoulder-length hair. His clothes and finery communicate his nobility, though his posture and demeanour appear perhaps not quite as tempered as one might expect from someone his age. But despite his lack of years, experience, and confidence, there is a hunger deep behind his eyes.
Background: Noble
Backstory: Rim was born as the illegitimate son of Tondrinus Lancaster, a rising and prominent noble of new money, and one of his elven maids. Tondrinus had not been able to produce a legitimate heir with his wife, and so though he could not let word of his indiscretion get out, he cared for Rim and raised him in secret to be his successor. Rim lived for decades never leaving his father's newly acquired manor, which had previously belonged to the Aerwolds, a reclusive family that had disappeared some years ago under strange circumstances.
Rim's father grew older and older. On his 60th birthday, he decided the time had come to formally present Rim to the court as the son of a foreign business partner, and the Tanist (second-in-command and chosen inheritor) of his estate.
Now Rim has been spending his the last year making formal appearances and meeting with other noble houses to establish the connections and alliances he will need once his secret father passes of old age. But Rim a secret. In his decades hidden away inside the Lancaster manor, he once stumbled across a secret room left over from when the Aerwolds called the place their home. Young and foolish, he had found ancient tomes, strange devices, and arcane knowledge, along with a peculiar mirror. And as he looked into that mirror, something found him.

Name: Arimae Talethin (Rim for short)
Race: Half-Elf
Gender: Male
Age: 33
Class: Warlock (Great Old One)
