I've been playing in a Discord-based DnD PbP campaign, and I love it.  It's a lot less clunky than trying to track everything via forum, and it still has the benefit of allowing asynchronous play (rather than appointments).  At this point I've also gotten used to some of the eccentricities of Avrae and how it interacts with DDB.

I have seen some recruitment posts go up, but the most recent ones seem to be running things primarily via the forum itself.  If anyone is looking to start a PbP game that will live in Discord or a similar messaging app instead, I would love to join as a player.

I‘m running a discord PbP Curse of Strahd game. A player left recently due to some irl stuff so we have room for you to join. We are not very far into the game so it should be pretty easier to figure out what happened so far.

 There still room? And is it 5e for this campaign?

There’s no room for another player atm, and yes it is 5e. If circumstances change and a spot opens, I’ll let you know.
