One moment you are surrounded be screaming crowds and bright lights, and the next you find yourself in a bare stone room as the game mages transport you to the predetermined dungeon along with three other rival gladiator teams. Your task is simple: outwit, ourfight, and outsurvive your opponents to claim the gold crown and earn the name of champion.
Aegean looks around the room, cat rubbing against his legs. "Here we go again..." he mutters, then casts Mage Armor on himself, then pulls his rapier out of it's sheath.
Sssyd nods to the others as he shifts his scimitar and shield in his hands. He cranes his neck side to side, a loud crack as it pops followed by a long sigh of relief. “Let the gamesss begin,” he says, his reptilian tongue flicking in and out quickly. He looks around at the room they are in.
The Dungeon: The dungeon was created centuries ago by dwarven miners, who later abandoned it under mysterious circumstances. The walls are made of smooth stone, and the floors were once beautifully crafted of flagstone but are now cracked. There is very little natural illumination, requiring either darkvision or a light source.
Upon opening the door you find yourselves in a dusty stone room, a torn tapestry on the north wall and a corroded mace lying on the floor. But the most notable feature is the room's solitary occupant, a writhing mass of mouths and eyes. It is a gibbering mouther.
Merzin's arrow strikes home, and the monstrosities' mouths open in a collective shriek, making your hair stand on end.
The gibbering mouther gropes in your direction, it's method of movement similar to that of a slug. It covers ten feet of ground until it is only fifteen feet distant. The monster then lets fly a glob of phlegm from one of it's many gibbering mouths at Sssyd. Upon impact, the spittle explodes in a blinding flash of light.
