This campaign will take place in the world of Oblitus Regnorum(don't judge, I suck at naming things). There are many nations on the main continent of Ixtal Fei, although none are truly dominant. In terms of war, tensions are brewing between the Rusa Dynasty, a dynasty consisting mainly of drow, and the Empire of Santok. The Azov Kingdom may soon be pulled into this war. The Kingdom of Koda is growing jealous of the mainly dwarven Samar Kingdom. Our story, however, takes place in the Empire of Santok. A mysterious organization has been brewing, and it seems like it may be trying to undermine the Kejsare, which is what the ruler of this Empire is called(for... some reason). A red dragon has recently been spotted near Cora City. It seems to have taken a liking to a volcano and perhaps wishes to stay there permanently. There is something strange going on with this dragon though, and nobody can quite figure out what the problem is.
About the Game:

Brix was born in the (insert semi wild somewhat untamed frontier). His father was a member of the brewers guild and his family made an adequate living selling a distillation of of various plants and herbs to the taverns and Inns that dotted the nearby trade routes. The warming effect of their elixir was a particular favorite of the people in living in colder regions. Brixs mother was an apothecary and well skilled in her own right. Brix grew up helping with the family business. Under his parents tutelage he learned to select plants and minerals and then extract their beneficial properties. The brewers guild bestowed the honor of youngest new member upon him offering him all the perks and advantages of membership.. Through his consistent and intense study of the chemical and physical properties of the ingredients he would gather he began to see other connections as well. The weave of magic that surrounds all things began to reveal itself to him. As his skills and knowledge grew he found that he was able to imbue some of his concoctions with magical flavor.
As he grew both in age and skill, the task of accompanying shipments fell to him. It is to this end that he has traveled (insert starting town name here) with a crate of his families famous Philbin Fire Water. We find him in (local tavern) considering a career change.
I'll likely play a Paladin or Fighter (probably Half-Elf) and will be able to type out a backstory tomorrow. It's midnight here (England) so I'll be back in 15-20-ish hours.

Personality: He appears aloof at first, but once you get to know him, he is loyal and caring.
Backstory: Ezekiel’s father was a drow originally from the Rusa Dynasty. He committed a crime that had him exiled from the Dynasty lands. That’s how he ended up in Santok, he met a woman that owned an antique store and they fell in love. A couple of years later, Ezekiel and his older brother Rostam were born. However, the happy little family wouldn’t last. Both parents passed away from an illness. After that, the boys were left to fend for themselves. As the elder, Rostam did his best to provide for he and Ezekiel (nicknamed Zeek). Zeek look up to his brother as a protector and a model. As they grew older on the streets, it become increasingly difficult for Rostam to take care of his little brother. So he thought the best solution would be to place him in a monastery, where he could be provided for as long as he worked for it. There Zeek met his master who taught him how to fight and fend for himself. Years later, Zeek learned that his brother had enrolled in the military in a time of great tension between Rusa and Santok. Worst yet, while on deployment, Rostam had gone AWOL. Concerned, Zeek packed his things and set out to find his brother and rescue him, just as Rostam had protected him while he was young.
A rather long Backstory, sorry for that. I can change it to better fit your world. Or I can try to come up with something else entirely. Let me know what you think.

Appearance: A shade under six foot, with straw-coloured hair, a freckled face and arms, and dark bronze-coloured eyes, his half-elven features mean he is slight, without facial hair, and sharp aristocratic features.
Personality: With few memories of his time before he was lost, he is the consummate fey-servant. He values presentation over substance, finery over form, and eye-feel over mouth-feel; all of which makes his present wretched circumstances all the more unbearable.
Backstory: Formerly the servant of a Wild-fey patron, stolen from parents he cannot remember, he has spent many years faithfully executing his duties as his master's bond compelled him - as much as fey culture allows. Less wild than his true-fey fellow servants, rising high in his master's service and holding human ambition tightly in his heart, Norr's chance to escape the Feywild came during the moment of his master's greatest triumph -- the murder of a Noble Genie guest, the theft of a true Wish, and his master's rising to the rank of a true Archfey.
His former master got the wish, but Norr got the ring. With a genie's vessel, Norr has escaped into the material world, bound now to a Primordial power that still exists in the elemental world and seeks to reunite its power with the avatar usurped by the small court of Autumn. Twigs in his hair, Norr is finding his heart changed by the new magical power that flutters through the air around him, and guides him along the wind. A conscience long quiet now whispers, and he finds that there is much the he wants to change. A life-time of service leads him to a logical conclusion, he needs to find someone with a strong arm, a need for a man-servant, and facilitate them on the path to power, until a new master can challenge the old.

Backstory: He was born in a jungle/forest and was left by his parents because they got chased off by a dragon. This dragon saw the baby Leo and blessed him by laying her egg next to him and blessing them with an eternal bond. When the egg hatched, the two were inseparable. The baby Drake's name ended up being Red. They helped each other to survive for all of those years, and they learned the forest like the back of their own hand. In his late teens, he and Red saw sight of a village/town outside the forest for the first time. They decided to travel there, and after a few years of education, training, and getting to know the town a bit, he discovered a yearning for travel and adventure, so he decided to become an adventurer. He would leave Red in the town, trusting him to one of the townsfolk that he got to be friends with, for he was worried about Red getting hurt/killed. By level 3 (for roleplaying purposes), Red would've escaped the town/village and found Leo on his own. That'll be the moment that Leo realizes that their bond is something magical (literally) and that Red is more than capable of joining him and the party he's in
Personality: Will not hesitate to steal from those he hates and give them to those in need

Through his travels, he realized that most adventurers went after the bigger prey, dragons and giants. However, this left the smaller prey like goblins and kobolds at times free to run amok in villages. This became his calling to help eliminate these monsters that could do more damage when left unchecked. In his travels, he came across many who needed help, and in most cases, they could not pay, but for him, that was fine. His favorite memory is when he helped an elven family escape from goblins chasing after them. The family decided to hand him a pair of boots that they said would help him in his travels.
